I’m a serious proponent of blockchain but In China they’re pretty intuitive and creative. That chicken that supposedly walked 1 million steps during its short life had a chip implanted in it that was a copy made from one of the first 1,000 chickens to break the million step record, each with their own record of footsteps. That chip is inserted into each chicken at birth. I don’t want to be a smart-a$s and skeptic - In fact, I’m supportive of all this but we need to develop truly fool-proof ways to ensure the integrity of the information entered into the blockchain. That’s where the biggest weakness lies and that is where the Chinese people and others will find loopholes.

The block chain info = what has been keyed in by, let us say, a farmer in the block chain. I doubt if they will input information that may interfere with their profit margins. I had rather use it for food traceability, but not entirely a system that end user customers should 100% rely on.

This is currently a huge money pitt with absolutely 0 confidence. Theres no real way to protect items from start to finish. All this does is raise the cost and gives a false of security to the people who buy them. Counterfeiters will easily remove/ refill/ replace real items and pass them off as the real thing while reselling the real product at a fraction of the price making at minimum %150 current market price. No much way to protect containers at the moment. I hope they figure new ways but at this time this isnt it

As far as my understand, blockchain system can be created by a tech company, and all the info recorded in the blockchain will be automatically updated. But it's not clear from my side that how the information is collected and reported on system? Is there any chip to attach to any step of supply chain process? I think it will be influenced by human. I can't help but think it sounds like such a scam. Remember most ppl will be screwed from timeshares because they are backed by experts who are good at sales and marketing. 1. The top point using this in the video is noone can change the data . ....well this is not a problem for the ppl who are backed by regulators, gold, work, regulated and secured investments, cash, antiques, etc. If a person is worried about authenticity of a product there are experts and agreed upon regulators to do this. We need to be thoroughly educated to protect the ignorant and less informed. There are more points but enough is said for my intent#my opinion not facts
