the moment at the rod level is not equal to zero, as stated by you. You can clearly see that there is active pressure acting above the rod level, that exerts bending moment above rod level

well...but for cohesive soil, how can you say the upper part is granular (cu=0), but you have aslo calculated tension due to (cu).. i mean (...-2cu)...?

sir, here the formula you have written for active pressure is may be wrong,it may be 'ka' in place of 'kp'.
