Sir please confirm that at 50 minute u said that the if wavelength of incident particle is small then it will be direct reaction but acc to my opinion, it has shorter wavelength means have more energy which can penetrate the target nucleus and resulting the compound reaction ,,,, where as if the debroglie wavelength is comparable to the size of target nucleus then it should be direct reaction since it will overlap with the outer structure of the target nucleus so it should direct reaction

In direct reaction, wavelength of incident particle is less( high energy) collides with nucleus and may pull one of the nucleons out of target nucleus called pick up reaction OR it may lose its own nucleon to target nucleus called stripping reaction.. it doesn't affect whole nucleus since it's wavelength is comparable to only the size of nucleon..
