MOD 2 Bike Test - POV Ride - Kawasaki z650 Anniversery (Cambridge)

By no means was it a perfect pass. In fact I actually went the wrong way at one point.
This is the exact route I was taken on. YOU MIGHT GO ON A DIFFERENT ROUTE.
Hope you find this video useful and good luck if you going to be taking your test soon.
I personally learned through Camrider who are based in Sawston... If your local to Cambridgeshire and needs some training I personally highly recommend them.
Please remember that you may ride a different rout... also the riding in this video is by no means the suggested way to ride a motorbike properly.

Just passed the mod 2 today second attempt first route was Camborne the route your fiancée took on her video,and today went right into the city of Cambridge was nerv wrecking trying to drive to dvsa test standards and cyclists everywhere and cars but held my own accidently pulled into a park and ride but commited to that lane and done it safe and legal and exited and continued the test but thought I had failed for that but I passed so happy days may see you on my journeys around Cambridge,can't wait to jump on the gsxr srad Tommorow 😎🏍️

I literally made the exact same mistake! Examiner was a little grumpy but as long as you conduct everything safely you can't be marked down on this!

Just passed the mod 1 today at Cambridge and got the mod2 for January well excited mod 1 took 2 goes reason why first time had a examiner examining the examiner so had a few people in mod 1 with me that added Amit of pressure and kinda unfair really but passed today with a 1on1 as it should be etc breezed it no minors

Thanks for the video, I’ve got my mod 2 coming up at the same site. At around minute 24 that 70 mph road you entered. What was it? You ride seemed very long! And when he asked you to pull up several times, I presume you indicated then cancelled then indicated again to leave correct?

@@marksgaragestuff unfortunately I failed. One minor on speed and one major on positioning on the dual carriageway. I joined the carriageway by turning right at the same McDonald’s roundabout you took and travelled towards Cambridge. I entered the carriageway in the right hand lane, but then lost sight of his bike, and out of worry that if I moved left into the lane I would hit him, I stayed out until he became visible in my mirrors. This he judged as a major positional fault. Hard hit to take to be honest to be failed like that. However, I think the lesson is that I really should have treated him as non existent and manoeuvred as I would and trust that he would not be so close to me as to cause an accident. The minor he gave me was interesting, he told me that I had gone far too slow, 20 mph in a 60 mph, and wanted to give me a major. I pointed out the that I had seen the temporary skid risk triangle signs indicating to slow down to 20 mph. He was surprised, because he had not seen the signs, he still made the point that those are only advisory and that the road surface was devoid of markings but in good condition thus reduced the major to a minor. £150 for the test plus bike hire in the bin. I’m trying to stay positive as I have a another attempt booked, but I won’t lie. This one stings.

@@Labgorilla Also didnt pass about a week ago. Going in to Cambourne I miss heard the exit on roundabout so was not sure. Missed the exit and heard the guy come on radio to say I had missed it (2nd Ex) so shoulder checked and indicated to move in to right lane and do a loop which I did. No other cars on roundabout at time. Classes as a serious fault t so failed...Doing to again in a week's time but weather getting worse so hoping I pass next time

@@michaelmcnulty4993 I passed today. You are right about the weather closing in. Quite blustery today. The examiner was incredibly fair and I managed to pass with no minors this time. I wish you all the best of luck. My biggest tip is genuinely treat the instructor as if he wasn’t there and that he is instead a voice in your ear. I decided to treat it this time as if I was riding alone, and I think that’s what did the trick for me. First attempt I simply tried to be the perfect rider but think of his positioning as well as mine. I wish you success in your next try and I have my fingers crossed 🤞 for you!

I’ve got to ask just incase I go the same route. The roundabout you went to at the bp garage. Where you took the second exit he wanted you to take the 3rd exit so you should have been more to the right correct?

To be honest mate that’s why I took that route. I’m not sure on what lane I should have been on…. Check with your trainer dude… I thought if I was very going to be unsure I would go my own way safely and correctly
