It looks pretty good, and definitely more functional, I'd call it a win. Try doing another with better epoxy, it's much better compact and it actually works properly now, without falling apart all the time like a clown car. This is the first mod video I've seen like this for the Tri-Break, good job overall, I like it. Just mark anything you think you did wrong as a learning experience, and I'm sure the next one will look even better. The spring upgrage definitely helped with the performace there, which spring did you use?

That thing looks really cool with the green stripe. Hit it with a few little decals or highlights to bring out the shapes. Really cool work. I wonder if the stock spring will fit with the knronos spring on the plunger rod.

Looks pretty cool actually. Even with the putty, the green paint looks like its glowing. I'm sure not a lot of people like it but I might be one of the few that do.

I think Foam Freaks used a Nerf Turf 10K spring. Works pretty well, all things considered.

I don't think the paint looks half bad. Gotta love that color scheme, too. If I pick one of these up, I may have to try this out on it. I just have a hard time justifying this at $15 when my Wal-Mart has Dual-Strikes for $7 on clearance.

With this mod, it is a lot more compact than the Dual Strike, but you’re absolutely right.

I dig it! Maybe add some yellow accents to the putty, toss in some bright color in the “vents” above the Mega logo to simulate glowing , and you’ve got a fantastic radioactive theme that you can claim was intentional.

Take the primer stage as a way to show where the mistakes are then sand them down and re primer. I learned a lot from Hot Wheels modders. They have dope tips for painting

Thanks. I really just didn’t wanna be bothered after a point. I had to go out and run errands in the middle of the epoxy and that only made things more difficult. I am however pleased with the paint application. That vinyl dye is smooth and the green lettering came out well. Just me wildly painting over the epoxy seams looks bad. Next time will be better. Especially now that I’ve remembered Apoxie Sculpt exists

Here's something that's a good laugh... Take the 4 Dart Zombie Strike Crossbow... Remove the Smart AR System and fit it to a BigShock. Yes it is possible!

Quick hint to you guys: The GREY trigger version of this blaster doesnt have the same problems as the orange trigger one. For example the grey trigger version’s (atleast mine´s) front break action doesnt fall on its own.

I think this is a great mod for the tri break. I am going to do a very similar mod with somewhat better finishing. I will call it Nerf Mega Tri-Blast. What weight was the spring you used?

not sure exactly, but definitely more powerful -- it's a Rival spring from the Kronos pistol. And as for the better finishing? You could do that with your eyes closed and still do better than me. lol

In the future, when you do detailing painting, stick to the features of the shell rather than your own seam. If you paint in features that have continuity across the seam, you can disguise it better. At least in theory

Just remove the air restrictors completely. Open it up and drill out each barrel.

I can’t wait until someone makes this thing direct prime. It looks possible. It would reduce “dead space” and give that 3rd Barrel a little boost. It might even be able to handle a beefier spring. Although it will most likely not be done it is still a cool idea in theory (In my opinion)

The spring situation is ... you’re probably gonna have to cut the end of the priming rod off to fit one on there. The other things don’t seem far fetched. I’m sure someone will do it

Probably, but this thing is kinda broken straight out of the factory. It's just not a good design, which is why I did the mod I did in this video.
