Great Video Kelly & Very Informative !!! I Love All things Mod-Podge, Use it All the time..Love the Antique Mod-Podge as it gives a really nice look to my Victorian Elements & Pages when I want them to Look old. I just have an Ink jet Printer, and I let the ink dry, then put I thin coat of Mod-Podge over the Element or pictures. when it's dry I cut them out, no smears or runs when I attach them to my pages. To prevent any pages from sticking together I use Daddy Vans wax, apply a thin coat on my entire page then wipe it off...or just seal the page with a Mat Spray. I just tried Mod-Podge for paper and you are 100% Right, No tackiness Love it !!!! TYFS Love you a very BIG Much XOXOXOXO

A hint for keeping Journal pages from sticking:Use a tea candle, remove the wick, then rub the page with the side of the candle, then wipe page with paper towel. I do this a couple of times and have no trouble with pages sticking. Now, I will try the newer Mod Podges. Thanks for the tutorial on this stuff. Very enlightening and helpful. Still can't use Mod Podge over Ink jet prints, though. Smears the ink every time. So coat the print with the candle or spray matte finish on it before sealing it down.

Hi Kelly, I am trying to seal a paper map (waterproof) to use on a craft project. I want it to be glossy but also still be a able to bend (not a hard crease) after it dries. Which Mod Podge would you recommend or would you use something else?

Hi!! I would use mod podge paper.-they have it in glossy and i think a coat of that would be perfect-u can even use it to apply your map and then seal when done!!!!

I have a quilt that I would like to add a sheen to. Do you think that using mod podge fabric would do that? I get that it might be a little more firm but do you think it would be uncomfortable?

yes it would!! it would be a bit stiffer but will work great!

Mod podge has a dishwasher safe glue that you can use for that. It works well. Still will need hand washed though

Hi!! To answer your question mod podge has Paper Mod Podge in matte or glossy and that is what I would def use. It is made for paper and doesn’t get sticky

Kelly, have you used a sealer on paper sewed on fabric to strengthen it? I need advice for such an article. I made a jacket from paper on fabric by free motion stitching those together. It looks fabulous, but the paper is fragile. How can I seal it without making it lose the soft flexible look? Thank you for your help ❤️

Yes! You can use mod podge fabric or matte would work great! Also they have hard coat so to answer those are what I use when I do fabric quilts

Hi with the hardcoat I want to make Death Eater mask stronger by using torn Newspaper mache on a $3 Paper mache mask from a store. Should I use Water in the hardcoat for dipping the newspaper or just use the hardcoat itself without watering it down. Thanks

Ooooh that sounds so cool!! I wouldn’t use water unless you absolutely have to thin the glue. You want the hard coat at as full strength as you can.

can you write over the paper Mod Podge with colored pencil to gel pen to water color when dry? If that is even a small issue, I would have to stay with clear gesso or gel matte medium. If this is a workable paper medium, I could save money for sure! Thanks.

Thanks for your video. Let's say I want to shape acrylic skins to do some sort of sculpture. Is modpoge hard coat or other medium would hold the shape ?

Matte or gloss would work nice. Just shape before it cures. So once dry and is opaque. Shape it. Leave it for. Few days and it will be fine

Yes it should. Do a thin coat and once dry do another until u are happy with the thickness and then let dry and cure

Yes and it is not sticky at all. Mod podge matte can dry tacky in diff environments so def try the paper one

Thank you for this video. I use modpodge to seal paper and stickers before putting them into resin. I wonder if the hard coat would be a better sealant against the resin than the gloss I'm currently using.

Have you tried the dishwasher safe mod podge? I plan on painting designs on a couple ceramic tiles to mount on the wall behind my bathroom sink and would need a water proof finish as opposed to water resistant. The reviews on Amazon sound good but still looking for a review coming from a real live flesh and blood person, if you catch my drift, and not folks paid or compensated for their reviews.

Ok so you don’t want it stiff… then use mod podge fabric! I love it!! U can also use mod podge Matt if that’s all you have.

@@knittingandthings no I haven't either. I'm in the process of making a Power Rangers cosplay helmet and I'm looking for ways to harden the poster board. So far I tried regular Modge Podge and it has hardened the outside a little. But I've only put 2 coats on. I might just get some and try it

Of course it's not hard enough for the helmet I'm making. But I did not intend to rely on that alone. I just needed to harden it a little so I can do the next step.
