I have many similar ornaments from my grandma and sister - the crocheted stocking and cross stitched ornaments that came in a kit with gold plastic circle frames. My grandma loved the plastic mesh projects. She made me a wall handing with J, O, and Y on separate squares. We still use the cube tissue holder she made in our car. One year in a magazine I saw balls made from strips of Christmas fabrics formed into braids and then glued around foam balls. Wow did that take a lot of fabric!

I crocheted ornaments like your grandmother made, and it was probably in the’90’s! The pattern was in a magazine which I’m sure I still have.❤😊

Wow! Thanks so much for showing all these wonderful ornaments. And a great idea to have several quilters do this at the same time. Love the idea. I made a Scandinavian star to go with the 3 Christmas quilts I am giving this Christmas out of same fabric as the quilts. 2 of the quilts is your BOM pattern (one from favorite things fabric). I am in process now of quilting the 2 BOM quilts. Hope I have time to make some other ornaments. Loved seeing the wooden ones. I hand painted a set of those in 1973. My 3 grown kids each have a few and I kept a couple for my tree. 🌲. Memories..❤️❤️. That’s what Christmas is made of.

Thanks for sharing all the great ideas. I have many crochet snowflakes and other crochet ornaments handmade by my Mom. I re-stiffened them with a cornstarch/water solution and blocked them on a board to reshape them and let them dry. Thanks for the table runner pattern. A great last minute gift
