Alas, this IS fast fashion, just with a gothic style twist. It seems to be the lower end of fast fashion, Shein, Temu, Wish - same factory, same materials. Ugh. That said, some better quality 'fast fashion' is all I can afford, and let me tell you - I baby those garments like they're made of glass. I only wear them out in public, never for everyday. What a crazy kind of world we live in these days, hunh? Hope you're well and safe. ,3

I think the orange skirted one is proof that not everyone understands how to upsize their products. You can't just "make it bigger" because it will fit the body differently. Also, a mum should not need to apologize for baby noises. They are precious and you are doing amazing. ^-^

All of them, actually! Its super noticeable on the bust and waist, the proportions don't fit the curvy but more boobs thing you have when you are a little bit bigger. The bust section is way too far up on so many gowns or shirts, you try it on and what should be under your bust is almost all the way up the middle :D

I ordered a huge baggy sweater from them, checking sizes and everything. I received a sweater sized for a small child made of horrific material 😭 Also no way to return it. EDIT: shortly after commenting this I received a spam mail from them.

Black Friday I just want to thank you for this video. before c0vid I use to dress in edwardian goth style but I had a friend who verbally destroyed my spirit and long story short made me dress in baggy clothes that weren't me. He's gone now and that chapter of my life during the modern day plaque era is over. And I'm starting a new chapter and reviving my edwardian goth wardrobe. This video was very helpful, I look forward to more episodes of Sh*t or Legit while I toss out these old rags and replace them with beautiful new things that are ME and not someone elses choice of me.

In the US, the biggest halloween costume company sells their adult costumes anywhere from 40 to 100+ dollars, and they are (usually) a little better quality than this. Halloween costumes can get pretty expensive here, that's why I think the place you bought from thought they could get away with those prices.

i bought (re: my mom) this beautiful some kind of velvet culttess witch robe from Party City back in like 2000's for around $30 (which was kinda mid to high end) and it's still one of the better products i've ever gotten as a costume. I rewear it pretty much every year and it still looks good. It's a bit much for just every day wear but I love the heck out of the thing. it would run miles around these modakawa ones. 😅

What bothers me about most Goth fashion is the quality is usually shit and a lot of it is cheesy (or costumey) on top of being made from cheap materials. And if it's good quality, and not a cheesy design, it's very, very pricy! I need to find affordable, good-quality, wearable Goth fashion!

Hiii Monty! What a disappointment! Those prices are way too high for the quality of the items...also, one thing I became aware of recently is these types of sites (which given the money to be made in, well, fast fashion, there must be around 100 at this point) tend to steal designs from other companies, or even independent designers, without any acknowledgement. Just something to be aware of. I wonder what their response is going to be...!

I love this so much! I'm finally getting comfortable wearing what I want to and not worrying about what other people will think. Interestingly, no one has said anything negative and has commented it suits me. This is so helpful for someone just getting into wearing gothic-style clothing. It's disappointing it wasn't very good quality since some of them had really nice design ideas. No worries about the baby noises! It's cute to hear your little ones in the background. I hate when they use pictures from other items that are good quality and then try to recreate it but do so terribly And often it doesn't even LOOK the same. This happened to me with a restyle hoodie. Found one for £19 instead of £60 (so i should've known really) but yeah it was shockingly bad. And i got the restyle one which was great

Love your honesty always :) Goth contemporary culture need TO understand how contradictory is to wear Fast Fashion clothing: . There is a whole new second-handed cheap world (Via Thrift stores, Vinted etc) out there, it makes no sense to spend money on fast fashion on a regular basis. For basics it's ok... But with the time you realize TWO THINGS: 1.- You are not going to wear most of your clothes or shoes, better to spend that extra money on experiences. 2.- Fast Fashion and Goth's culture leit motiv is about trying to D.I.Y your clothes and make your outfit unique. .. At the end of the day Fast Fashion is much more than only cheap clothes. :) Love your channel since I can not remember (L)

Companies like this are lousy because they're essentially preying on kids that want something cool and don't know quality indicators. That pair of shoes would fall apart after 2 blocks. 40 bucks is a lot to a kid who's shopping online and trying to get a deal. Good on you for calling it like it is, Friday.

It's not hard to learn how to shop for quality tho, especially if you're straight sized. We used to have to figure that all out ourselves, and now you can use the internet to help. A small bit of research is always worthwhile, in regards to everything. I mean these companies are disgusting and should be illegal, but the internet has also kinda ruined everything. So one must be careful and think logically.

Excited to catch this one! Watching this was very much a "Disappointed but not Surprised" affair (well, my jaw dropped when you squished those shoes so that was surprising lol). As a goth who is also a lolita, I've seen a lot of similar websites come up in the algorithm, the items prices are typically much higher than they really deserve to be/don't quite look like the picture when you receive them, where you MIGHT be safe with some small items but will more than likely be disappointed if you drop roughly 50 USD or more on a dress. At that point you could buy something from a more reputable brand (maybe on sale or secondhand) or get into secondhand shopping/DIY projects if you're crafty enough. I understand people being young/on a budget/new to alt fashion and excited to just get SOMETHING into your hands NOW but (especially with online shopping) if it looks too good to be true, it usually is, and if you just did a little more research you could find much better items in that price range. Thank you for yet another entertaining video/suffering through these clothes in an attempt to warn others AND thank you for always including what music you use, I have some new bands to look up!

The irony.... With the exception of my own channel, you are literally the only content creator on all of KZbin I've found who does truly honest reviews. I'm not sure what brand of shoes I saw at Burlington when I visited months ago but, I saw something similar to those lolita shoes you purchased for $20-$30 and these shiny high heeled boots that might be PVC material for $23. They are good quality and they're quite comfortable, I can fit both 7 and 7.5

This is why I don't mess with a lot of these "affordable" "gothic" brands, or brands that have "gothic" clothing, especially if the pictures look too good. Especially, especially if it's an Asian brand or company. I'm sorry, but they're pretty much all 💩. They all have that cheap costume material and they are never like the pictures (because, stolen). Not to mention all this fast fashion crap is a HUGE waste on the environment. Even Hot Topic started going the route of fast fashion quality once brands like Lip Service, Morbid Threads, etc stopped being a thing. Their brand name clothing is absolutely horrific. Nah...I'll stick to modding thrift finds and saving up for a good quality outfit once or twice a year that will last me years and not just one or two washes. I truly wish society would go back to appreciating quality over quantity again...

I was looking for this really cute black pajama set that had skulls on it a few months back. I couldn't find the exact ones I wanted but found this site showing a 3/4 sleeve baby doll top with skulls. I think it was originally listing at $25 USD. I consider that as a reasonable price for it. I expected it was going to be a nice mid-range quality. They had a sale going on, plus a discount for first time purchase that made it come to less than $15 with tax. Let me tell you, when I saw this thing I about fell over. It was thin, no lining with all these loose threads. But what really made it awful was it was that costume shiny material. And any tiny bit of stretch immediately made the fabric turn white. It was as if they took a white shirt and sprayed on a pattern and black color. I've had it sitting in a drawer I never open since. It wasn't even worth the few dollars for shipping. I wouldn't have even wiped my butt with it. So if anyone sees an ad for a company called Rose Gal, run away.
