MODDED Kraton 4s vs Stock Kraton 6s EXB

I love my Arrma 6s RCs on 4s. and they cost just a few more bucks than a 4s. I was pumped when they released the 4s models as they fixed everything that the 3s models needed BUT may as well get a 6s at that price point

The bigger, heavier chassis is going to be more stable and the diffs make a huge difference. Personally, I prefer the 4S, a lot more fun! Good video! 👍

I'd retune the rear diff to give a bit more step out. And put a better servo saver. I use the Hot Racing one. A lot better. But even the Hot Racing one gives more than I like. Both K6 and K4 have real bad steering out the box. Although the K6 can be better rectified by installing a VITAVON bell crank assembly with a high torque servo. On the K4 you can put the entire Hot Racing bell crank and servo saver. And it's a big improvement.

Nice Comparison man 👍🏻👊🏻 I use the kimbrough 124 servo saver and run with the castle 1515 motor 2200kv mamba Monster x, 20 t pinion, better fans and this works great in the gravel pit and on street i hit 68 mph🚀😎

on the Arrma 4s modded platform try moving the inner steering link rearward to change your ackerman. Doing this will change steering behavior.

Wow! The K6 held it's own there, impressive! At first I was like how's this fair? I see now that the 4s is in need of some real help in the handling department. And I thought the 6s Kraton had a bad push..🤭 Shame, I was really digging the 4s for it's power to weight ratio.. now, not so much. I've run most all my 6s rigs on 4s at one point or another, I think the TC 6s combo has been the most impressive on 4s power. Keep up the great content!! Lovin' it!!🍻

Big difference I think is a center diff. Also, throw an lmt servo saver on the 4s and it’ll be much better also

Nice comparison! I'm rebuilding my K6s as a Talion EXB, so I never got to much wheeltime in with it stock. On the K4sV2, I agree, the stock & Red ARRMA 25t servo savers are lacking even with a 35kg servo on 7.4v I tried a few different types of servo savers & finally got an all metal Direct drive 25t one from Hot racing. Direct Drive meaning no plastic servo spline inserts to get chewed up, but it still needs to be trimmed like the Kimbrough. So far, steering is better. The last steering part I installed was an aluminum bellcrank. I really hope it's the last because I have to remove the #RCmadlabz Performance brace everytime I change a chassis steering component. But after cracking the chassis at the front diff when it was an Outcast, I won't run without it.

I own both the 4S v2, not 2.5 (Slipper Clutch). I automatically replace servos on ANY RTR. I have Savox 1210SW in the 4S, and a ecopower in my 6S EXB. I add heavier shock fluid, and put 500k in center diff. I technically have a 6S system in the 4S, but run ONLY on 4S (Heat reasons). The 4S in the right hands will give my 6S EXB a run for the money. . .

Yep not cheap at all. In my Senton it has the upgraded hardened Arrma gears in it.

Rcawd makes an aluminum bell crank for the 3s and 4s arrma and a lot of other aluminum parts as. Got there bell crank in my senton it's a world of difference from the stock, also have there all metal diffs as well

The added width of the 6S helped it. The added weight of the 4S plus being more narrower hurt it. Including mods those two weigh the same. The 6S Arrma Kraton and Notorious are the best value for money in larger scale RC to me. I've always considered the 4S Kraton/ Outcast perfect for no holds barred, don't care, cheap to fix bashing. I love them both.

They are about the same. The 4s weighs over 14 pounds with added mods. It's heavy now. That's the weight of my Fireteam so I figure a 6S kraton EXB is about the same.

I put pin tires on my Kraton 4S for racing and it absolutely rips now, they would be pretty dynamite on your sand track I think.

He suspects it’s the servo saver. Adding snap rings to the servo saver on 6s rigs is a literal cheat code, not sure what options there are for the 3s/4s ones..

The bellcranks have no saver on it so it has the red Arrma one. I have a raw500 on the way and let’s see if that helps by simply dropping it in.

I love my Kraton 4s but the steering is terrible. I've just had a Reefs Raw 500 and the Losi LMT servo saver arrive, which I'll be fitting soon. Could be also the exb has the limited slip diff so it will give the exb rear more of the rear to swing out. The kraton 4s is open diff

I thought the Kraton EXB rear diff came with less LSD action stock which I think would have the opposite effect. 2 somewhat locked rear wheels under power break traction & allow the rear to swing out. I could be totally wrong though. My only driving experience with a 29mm LSD is the one I put in the center of my Typhon. I'm debating running the rear EXB diff in my Talion build with 2 stacked circular plates around the output gears & one star plate on the ends. But the tires I run offer a completely different experience anyway.

That dissapointing servo saver setup...one of 3 reasons why I haven't bought into the ARRMA 3S/4S lineup. Was so tempted to pick a Granite 3S recently on sale for $280 (thats $50 off normal price) just couldn't get past that servo saver and a couple other things. Got a Rival MT10 at full price instead...even though electronics in the MT10 are outclassed by what you get in the Granite. Big fan of ARRMA 6S lineup though!
