Having been myself part of the modding community at one point in my life for Fallout 4, i can tell you that Modders can bring A LOT MORE to this game then CD Projek RED will ever be able to. Give modders the tools to bring this game to new heights.

It depends on the engine and modding tools , I was part of State of Decay 2 and it was a hard struggle at first to mod some things into it.

Full-fledged mod tools would be a godsend because they will allow the community to keep CP77 alive for years to come, if not decades. Enter increased player engagement, new people buying the game to try all the goodness that has accumulated since launch and, last but not least, a constant flow of sales revenue for CDPR to utilize at their own discretion.

Absolutely beautiful mod, I wish this was something in the base game for all to enjoy. Or that consoles had mod support like skyrim. The rooftop patio, and bedroom balcony, it's just perfection. Only thing that could make it better is a flying vehicle landing pad. Though I think I can make do with the space that's there. I'll have to find out later when the downloads are all done..

To answer your question at the end; my two cents: It's a tricky one. Because on the one hand, I'd absolutely love to see what Modders could (and would) do with a proper Mod Tool/Creation Kit. Given that CDPR are moving onto an entirely new engine for their future games (including the Cyberpunk sequel) there also doesn't really seem to be any real reason to hold such toys back from the community. But on the other hand, to play devil's advocate: I think it needs a lot more work than people realise [on CDPR's end] to get the kind of Kit people would be expecting. Given their numerous issues recently, and especially the backlash to that ESG vid, they may be better just focusing any remaining Dev studio time (before they move onto other projects) on the expansion pack for 2077. This approach would given them the chance to OFFICIALLY pack in a lot of the top Mods (many of which you've highlighted in your vids) into the core game/code while adding further stabilisation, bug fixes, and optimisation.

I think they will make mod tools, if i recall correctly with the addition of red mod they said that was the first step in making mod tools so they seem to imply more to come and I think if they’ve been working on them for nearly a year now with the red engine for the group of modders they hired, they have more in the works to give in the future. It may never be as good as creation kit, such as no entirely new buildings and stuff, but hopefully it makes adding in new weapons and cars and rooms in apartments easier, imagine how cool it would be to have a bunch of new gang hideouts added with enemies to fight as you hunt them down in apartment complexes. But focus for it would definitely not come around until phantom liberty drops and they finish with the game and the engine entirely.

Putting out modification tools would be historic....it's been done before but this game was waited for, then had it's hiccups, then turned to the fans and the fans kept the faith. Most creative arts are no longer doing that, they should take it a step further and release mod tools and see how deep the rabbit hole goes. When is someone going to make the infamous "Forlorn Hope" bar?

I've reached a place in my gaming life where I don't really play games I can't use mods on. The modding community has transformed so many games for me that it's an absolute essential if I am to actually enjoy playing any game. However needing to install so many pre-requisite mods just for the actual mods to work is kind of a bummer, i think for cyberpunk i have roughly 12-14 mods installed only so other mods can function. There must be a better way, and that's up to game developers to actually design their games with the modding community in mind. Red mod was a step in the right direction, but also not really.

Yes it would be worth because the modding community is what keep games alive there’s a reason why to this day people still play Skyrim and older Fallout’s. It prolongs the game’s longevity because everyday a modder is coming up with new ideas to enhance and make the game more immersive to play.

As a modder for the game myself, I'd love to see more tools. RedMod is a start, although not largely different from the old WKit system. On one hand, it seems less likely that we will get more modules, with UE5 implementation. On the other, they have nothing to lose by releasing the full dev tools, since they are moving on to a new engine.

Sadly these AMM appartments are all completely useless other then for photos because none of them have working beds, weapon walls or showers/mirrors or other important functionalities. The best one here is the Edgerunner mansion since it uses a real appartment as its base but even that one has a bug where it can break the weather.

With a full mod tool set, it could easily become an entirely new game. Let's take time to consider the amount of work that could be done to character customization. I'd really like to add some new music to the game or at least add a bigger playlist to places like Lizzy's Bar.

While I think it's certainly worth CDProjekt's time to release some proper mod tools for this game, the greater question is whether or not that's actually possible. I'm not sure how the guts of this game works or how possible it would be to make something like the Creation Kit for Cyberpunk. If it is possible, do it, I say. After all, realistically we're looking at *years* until the next Cyberpunk releases and putting out proper mod tools for 2077 would be a great way to give the game some serious longevity.

Funny thing is these mods leave a sour taste of what CDPR should have implemented in the game in the first place "fingers crossed " for the next cyberpunk !! honestly though im not sure why they dont just drop the full suite of modding tools to 2077 and see what people can come up with then look at implementing some of them in the next game!!

Full Modtools are announced to come soon... They also just gave pretty much everything Witcher 3 out to the community in that regard, as they send the Red Engine 3 and 4 to retirement.

1: without this devs CP2077 would not even exist. So hardly disagree on that (tho I agree they're doing amazing stuff and the splendor community gave them is well deserved) 2: Come on, the game is mostly fixed already and they are and will work on making things better (and there's no doubt about this 'cause they know perfectly that disappointing fans again will destroy their image - this time without any possibility of bringing it back). Don't get me wrong, I was disappointed too at the beginning, but we can say it's better late than never 😉 And besides, TW3 also needed some time to fix a lot of things to become such good game we know today

I came to this vid cause i found a super sick arasaka mansion right behind the north oak sign with a huge pool what somone could make a functional garage, netrunner outhouse, massive bedroom which has the only two locked doors in the whole mansion all somone needs to do is get rid of thoes two locked doors and i know the rooms fully designed cause when you go theres a few arasaka ninjas there to kill you and one phased through the door and i saw him through a window just chilling in there so the only real work is to add the interaction functions like sleeping, looking in the mirror, showering, sitting. I think anyone whos playing a corpo v should visit and rp that its your house cause its honestly so so cool and i wish cdpr made it buyable even if it was like 1,000,000 eddies

REDmod isn’t exactly a full mod toolset. It basically makes tweaking existing settings, animations, and sounds easier. There is no world editor or anything of that nature.

If I'm playing Devils aide I'd say no CDPR will not in any way hinder the success of their next release by giving Modders the keys to Night City. Let's be honest who would buy a new game when you already have created the perfect game you've always wanted. Being able to create new gigs, areas, NPC's with entirely new stories I mean the world of NC would be just the beginning for V. It's no doubt CDPR is weighing heavily on how to support C77 and as they've shown they are not trying to break new ground. No Edgerunner series no new interest in C77. Atm they're simply doing enough for a 300 million dollar wash to keep investors happy who's already trying to cash grab from the hype of the next big thing, hopefully playable, Lol.

REDmod only made editing existing settings, sounds, and animations possible/easier. It doesn’t have a world editor, doesn’t have a quest creator, etc. The official mod tools for the game are still very barebones and anything that artificial adds such capabilities will always be inferior. AMM will never be anywhere near as powerful, flexible, easy to use/implement, and optimized as a world editor for example. You won’t ever see large scale world editing mods, quest mods, etc without a proper toolkit. I hope this helps!

everything that need CET spawning and even teleporting can only run solo. there might be a way to combine presets, but i dont know. the only one fully working standalone is the Edgerunners apartment, it only needs archive XL which is used to bring external assets in and CET for the scripts and functionality. but it will be there, purchasable and working if everything is installed correctly. It just lacks the new functionality for patch 2.1+ with the "I really want to stay at your house" quests, like the dancing features and co.

Such project announcements aren't for consumers, that is just a common misconception. They're for business partners (e.g. Epic), investors, and to acquire new hires (devs). The new Cyberpunk game isn't starting development until after the release of Phantom Liberty in 2023 and will be developed by a newly formed studio in Unreal Engine 5. The main CDPR studio is starting working on The Witcher "4."

@@Apoqsi so like what would you say then about games like Terraria and Minecraft? i realize they are nothing like this game but clearly the devolopers of those games wanted profits and yet took a totaly diffrent approach and they are both immortalized for many more years to come because of this why woudn't every single game company on the planet strive for that future for each game they make isn't quality something they should be looking for not just pumping out bug ridden cancer and making a quick buck ? the only reason cyberpunk 2077 atm is still mentioned is because it was semi open to modding community without that the games already dead and a feebly attempt to bring back some player hype quick cash with the meme dlc and shit anime people think is good lol
