Modding a GameCube Controller For My Brother's 16th Birthday!

In today's video, I am going to open up a gamecube controller and show off the step by step modding process it took to make the full build. This build will be given to my older brother for his 16th birthday. Stick around to see what the controller looks like in the end!

Lol, I completely forgot to set my manual focus. That probably was why it was a bit blurry. But yeah, my brother loves the controller, and now, he's playing more SSBU than ever.

You just gotta vibe with it my guy. I mean just to make ya feel less scared watch my video again and watch how careful I am with the controller. Just go slow your first time. I'd say do whatever you want with the controller except soldering, which if you aren't experienced you can damage your controller big time.

Melee is an awesome game!! The controller's for it though kinda suck and it's why they need to be modded. If you want to become a modder it's actually really easy! Unfortunately for me though I cant play on GameCube controllers and have to play b0xx, but I like modding them. (P.S The controller was made for melee if you couldn't tell by my sweaty multishines, also kinda why I messed up my hands XD)

Where did you get that blue backshell?

I took it from an indigo controller that had broken internals, but a perfectly fine shell.

Where did you get the trigger brackets??

The brackets are really common in the older types of controllers but have been kinda removed ever since the smash controllers have rolled out. The brackets I used came from a broken indigo controller I bought (which I also used for the indigo backplate) but you can find them by looking up GameCube replacement parts on ebay for just the brackets
