YES! So many people have been waiting for this, myself included. I have heard multiple people have problems with sticky A buttons so having a video showing disassembly as well as mods is perfect and I can send people here when they need to fix their buttons.

Never understood why Nintendo /Power A always released basic versions of the gamecube controller and never did anything to "spice up" the controller like you did. Looks Amazing

They really shoulda slapped hd rumble in it i woulda took it before the pro controller anyday for all games since gamecube was my first console 😂😂 plus the A button placement for the switch just feels weird since ive played a lotta PlayStation and Xbox over the years and found it hellaaaaa hard to get used to the a button placement 😂😂😂😂

Wow the controller looks amazing! One thing I would like to tell powerA to improve their controllers is fix the snapback, every controller for the switch I’ve tried has it and it really messes me up. Anyways great video, congratulations to whoever wins this beautiful controller!

I've gotten really interested in modding GameCube controllers recently. I just wanted to let you know that your videos have been the best I've found. I also love that you link all the tools you use in your videos. My spring break is coming up soon and I am plan on spending the whole time learning to mod. Very interesting mod, I personally own the older revision of the controller so I had to manually mod it to have shorter press with my triggers. I hope Power A make more revisions on their wireless game cube controllers to make it the best 3rd party alternative.

I've been using this controller for months now and love it, however, in my admittedly heavy use of the thing one issue has come up that should be noted. While at first both sticks did feel stiff when right out of the box they will gradually get looser with play, and in my case it has gotten to the point where the primary left joystick has issues starting in neutral. It hasn't resulted in ghosting inputs and honestly it might just be the mold for the stick cap is worn, but there is definitely some jiggle or wobble from simply lightly shaking the controller, on top of a pretty loud squeaking sound. I've been hoping to see if I can just buy some new stick boxes and solder them in, but I've yet to see a guide on what stick boxes are compatible with this controller specifically.

I have been modding the original version of this controller by putting a machine screw in the trigger to plug it and give it a shorter action. Its cool to see that the creators fixed it themselves.

I've used one of these in the past as a substitute to my wired GameCube controller for when an adapter isn't available. It's always worked very well for me and I've never had any major issues with it. The mod looks great and adds a lot to it. I especially like the red accents.

That controller is among my all time favorites for the switch. I didn’t realize they made a revision with shorter throw shoulder buttons. I’ll have to pick one up now. I’m going to have to check out your other content to see how you make those custom buttons. Love it!

I've been looking into modding a lot recently and there are a number of people I've come across, but you do some of the more straightforward explanations in all of this -- a vacuum chamber makes so much sense, but I don't think I've seen a single other person use one of those at all when it comes to casting! Yo, finally see you modding the controller I use! Lol. I'm curious on your thoughts, since now you have taken one apart, of switching the stick boxes for those of PS4 or Xbox stick boxes? My soldering skills aren't pretty but at least they are functional. I just figured the thicker sticks are better the the tiny metal ones. In my experience the resin will give way to the metal after extensive play so I have been looking for alternative solutions. Anyways, sorry for the long comment. As always, thanks for the video and keep up the great work!

I think its possible but I am unsure compatibility without testing. I did notice exactly what you said with regard to the resin giving way. I made some extensive modifications to 3d model for the the resin insert so that doesnt happen. I will post the 3d models of it and list them on my etsy. Give it a shot and let me know if you think it works better!

ngl I used to hate these controllers (mostly because of the whole issue of needing AA batteries in order to use it), and the L/R travel distance, but these new versions with Umbreon and Espeon, and ESPECIALLY your customized version... I'm sold, honestly. They look great and I actually want one of these now haha
