For anyone wondering, you dont need your sensor connected to use Wiimote generally. Only for the pointing function. The modding of your Wii doesn’t need that. Otherwise great video!

To clarify, the filenames for the UF2 firmware are ordered by what model of Wii you have, and then the system menu version. So, for a European Wii original model with 4.3E it would be "bluebomb_WII_SM4_3E.uf2". The Wii Mini by default has 4.3, so it would be "bluebomb_MINI_SM_(region).uf2".

I actually just did this a month or two ago; its overall a very fun system to mod. The only thing its missing is HDMI out; i thought i saw someone on twitter who did it successfully with one of the ElectronAVE kits but i havent been able to relocate it 😅

I have the original Wii so Wii mini can’t be soft modded with red mail bomb hack or what?

They removed the SD card slot, and while it's possible to re-add it, the software on it won't work with it. On top of that, it's missing wifi (so no web browser), the normal messaging system, etc. It does have USB ports, but they aren't really used for anything but power (Ethernet adapters are disabled in the firmware). So that leaves Bluetooth (which happens to have an exploitable issue, what you see in this video), and you can probably hack it with defuse, which I'm currently doing the research for.
