I wish there was a better movement system. I like the most from Unreal Engine where you can press LMB to move in one axis, RMB in other axis and LMB+RMB to move in third axis, covering all movements possible. Rotating is also pretty intuitive in this mode. As an alternative if keep this orbit view system, there is possibility in some other editor (don't remind which one) when you hold RMB, you can press WSAD and may be Space and Ctrl to move Forward/Backward/Left/Right/Up/Down while able to rotate camera. Can you extend your editor movement so that panning will be easier? To say moving forward right now is not really good. To do that you need to turn camera to 90deg and pan to the left/right so that you will move closer, then turn -90deg to look at object again.

I would say such missing simple functions does not attract players who could really create mods. It would be enough to copy the control that Blender provides, as well as the camera's ability to observe objects.. An example is the Prodeus game. It encourages everyone to create maps. But when I tried it myself, I realized that it was a waste of time. Spends x10 more time without normal camera/object control..

Hold the middle mouse button, to move it, and to recenter the view, HOLD middle mouse and PRESS right click to re-center

Is there any UI scaling option for the editor? For example when using a 4k Display?

I don't know exactly what it was but I think we ran into a roadblock with the version of ImGui we are using that didn't support scaling but we are aware that it's requested.

Do I need to install the editor because when I press edit it doesn’t do anything an editor never loads, my game is updated and everything but I can’t make maps

No you don't have to install the editor, it's shipped with the game, make sure it's a content mod you are trying to edit, if you still have issues I suggest you join our discord on discord.gg/Teardown to get up and running.
