For those watching the video and transferring the mods to your files folder. Transfer them using the xplore app and go to your internal storage rather than the sd card. I did the same thing (sd card method) and it didn't work.

The change in how the dialogue is presented is basically so that it can be seen on smaller screens. As far as I know there isn't any way to change that.

So far I used a mod called Padawan that did the same thing only with some changes like you chose the class the color of all there is but the saber was short and you were trained in secret besides omitting the Endar Spire

I think Jedi from the Start is based on Padawan and came later. JftS also changes a lot of dialogue and some cutscenes to fit the narrative.

So I downloaded this from nexus mods, however when I open the folder, the modules and override folder have no file in it, everything is in the download folder. I would t know how to go about separating what needs to go in modules and what needs to go in override.

To get Darth Revan robes/skin from the start you need to use console commands, which I don't believe can be used on Android. There are mods, though, that place the robes in game. If I remember correctly the mod I used on my let's play placed them with Bastila's items when you rescue her on Taris.

When I go to copy the mid and overdrive there is no option for file, the only 2 options are mid and overdrive. I have the Amazon fire he 8 2017 tablet.

Hi Stephen, I'm going to assume you mean the modules and override folders, if not let me know. You copy those 2 folders and place them in sdcard0/Android/data/com.aspyr.swkotor/files. Since it's an Amazon tablet it might be labeled something besides sdcard0 and you might have to search around a bit.

If you look at the nexus page, you probably downloaded the main file at the top. You'll want the one at the bottom of the page that says "manual installation".

You have to extract the file, which should be a .7z, to a folder. In the folder will be all the mod files.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I do everything you do in this video yet when I load the game up it comes up with the bar to pick sentinel or whatever then when I choose nothing happens I'm not in my robes and the door is unlocked and trask is stood literally right outside and starts talking to me as I run passed him I dont level up or nothing i dont understand

If you haven't already, try moving kotor and your mods to the internal drive, not an sd card. Have you gotten other mods to work?

I was wondering if you could help me out man. I just lost a save of ober 10 hours so i want to use this mod to get back to where i was quickly. I installed both module and override folders and the game doesn't load when i try to start a new one. When i just use the oberride folder without module i get to pick a jedi role but have the default stuff in locmer and am stuck in the room cause the door stay locked since i cant talk to the dude there. Carlos, did you figure it out? There may be a conflict with another mod or they may be a problem with the game on your specific device if it has updated the Android OS recently.

The Ord Mantell mod has a modules folder and an override folder just like Jedi from the Start. Installation of Ord Mantell would work the same as in this video.

The Darth Maul mods that I know of are for kotor 2. Are you sure it's a kotor 1 mod that you're trying to install?

You won't be able to use the horns and robe because you would need to use pc console commands, which you can't do on android.

As far as I know, BoS needs to be installed on a pc 1st. Then you can copy the files to your android device.

Try a different mod, like a simple face mod (so you'll be able to tell at character creation if it worked), to see if you can get ANY mods to work, and make sure the game is installed on the internal drive, not an external sd card. Let me know whether or not you can get a different mod to work, then we can go from there.

I would very much like to use the Jedi From the Start mod, and I also would like to use the Darth Revan's Items mod, in conjuntion with each other. How would I go about doing that? I know both mods have a lightsaber command, and I feel like I read somewhere that if you use 2 different mods that both affect the lightsaber, then there's another step that you have to add to make it work. Thanks in advance if you or someone else is able to point me in the right direction.

Yeah, if you are using 2 mods that alter the same file, one of them probably won't work. UNLESS you use TSL Patcher in a PC which will edit the files so you can have both. Not possible without a PC. I think - it's been a while - I used both Jedi From the Start and Revan's Items in my playthrough, so I believe they can work together.

I love this game so much, and if it weren't for you I never would have known I could get Jedi From the Start for my Android. I just have one last quick question, if you don't mind: For the Revan's Items mod, are the items DS only, or can I use it if I'm doing a LS playthrough? And, when I put the files into my com.Aspyr.kotor, I know I put the actual item files into the override folder, but I saw some folks on Nexus saying different things about choosing one of the 3 drop locations, with some saying that the files for whichever drop location you choose should be in the modules folder and not override. I don't have access to a PC at all, so I was hoping that you could point me in the right direction on how to make it work properly. Sorry to bother you my friend, thanks again.

Hmm... the readme for the mod itself says to put the files you want in the "placeables" folder into your override folder. I don't remember it being an issue so I suggest trying that first. I can't guarantee that's right, though, it's been a long time since I've played.

Delete the override folder (and modules folder if it it there).

They should work okay together. You only have a problem if, when you place everything that goes into your override folder something gets overwritten (and Android will tell you if that's going to happen. If they are all separately named files you should be fine.

Does the vanilla version of kotor work? It hasn't been updated for years, and it's causing issues with some newer devices. If so, putting the game on internal storage has helped in some situations.

Not that I know of. There are some that have you use console commands to put the items in your inventory, but you can't use console commands in the Android version. The only way I can think of is to move your save to a pc (with KOTOR installed), use KOTOR Save Editor to install the vanilla robes into your inventory, then move your save back to your Android device.

Sorry Zach, this is the easier way. It used to be much more complicated. Make sure you have KOTOR on internal storage along with the modules and override folders and it should work.

So when you extract the mod, one of the folders should say "Manual Installation". The 2 folders in there should be "Modules" and "Override". The modules and override folders are what go into your files folder. If you do that and start a new game, it should work. Let me know how it goes.

Hello this question is unrelated to the video but my kotor 2 game on the android has glitch where it's stuck on the main menu idk what the problem is i looked online and found that some people tried using one handed mode however my phone does not have that option so i know this is a lot to ask but is there a solution?
