sounds like your headlight upgrade was super fun 😜 the stock yellow ones on my 220d are akin to a mk2 golf i owned many years ago! Thanks for the video though

I found your channel through the 2 series, and your videos pushed me over the edge and helped me purchase a 230i... (even over a M240i !) Would have loved to see some lengthier videos on the modifications that you had done to your 2 series , especially considering I was planning on doing some of the ones you showed. Unfortunate to see you sell off that 2 series, but I will still be excited every time I see you upload. Can't wait to see what cars you pick.

These are great little 'do everything' cars for those who really want a 2-seater sports car, but need a back seat. My stage-one tuned MT always puts a smile on my face... and best of all, the back end will get a little loose when you want it to :)

Ive been meaning to change out my halogens for your style headlight, such a nice car with great upgrades. I actually found you on a BMW forum and have been scouring the internet on how to even get started with the headlight replacement for F22 but cant find anywhere to start lol. I have a 2016 228i and had a 2011 128i which is what inspired me to upgrade 1 model up. I replaced the gas pump on the 128i, the starter and did minor upgrades all myself but never touched the headlights. Any tips would be greatly appreciated

These are great cars so enjoy your upgrade journey. Tips from my experience, Morimoto was the leading projection headlight vendor when I did mine. Maybe they still are. Good products and great service. When installing, take your time and bake carefully. It seems scary to put headlights in the oven but watch videos and it is actually very doable. For the halos, if you’re adding them, I would install differently if I had to to it again and use extremely fine drill bits and run monofilament through the halos and housing reflector to attach. G29 Z4 M40i for a daily/track?

My E86 and E89 Z4s were great GT cars and, for me, good daily drivers. Even better for someone if the run flats are replaced with non run-flat tires. As for track cars, I never took mine to the track but I’d expect them to perform fairly well if not spectacularly. My E89 was an iS and it had around 30 additional HP over the standard 35i due to over-boost and hence was capable of truly scary acceleration. It would have been fun to feel that on a track.

So I, much like you daily drive my weekend warrior. Maybe I'm young and dumb or don't have the skill or experience that you do. But I LOVE driving to work the day after a track event. To me if the car is not dual purpose, I almost don't want it. Because if the car can not be used as a car, why not a dedicated track car or race car, roll cage and the like. Excited to see what you get next!! E36 seems to make too much sense, and you said unconventional. I would hope for another Merc, maybe a C230 or a slk250 manual?

I tried to let the 2 series serve as both and the car is certainly capable of it. My limitation is my own psychology of being tentative pushing hard into a corner and worrying I’ll damage the car one day or, as I experienced, having the car destroyed because another driver surpasses their own skill on the track, thereby ending my car.

As the god of thunder and rock and roll whoa, a commands you to keep that car and make a steady stream of videos of that car do another track day and see if any of the mods you made affects the handling the performance and anything else you can come up with before you get rid of it!!
