It's insane to rewatch this review in February 2023. Sonnet is now in-stock and practically the most recommended board out there right now. Plus, on top of this, Mode's new 65, the Envoy, is arriving in June at a tremendous price point.

Strong comments but nothing I really disagree with. They would do well to let you keep boards for future comparisons, and to provide you with more parts to test different builds. Did you check if you maybe put the weight in upside down? Looks like it could be flipped rather easily?

The weight has countersunk screw holes so it's definitely intended to go in one way, it might be possible to jerry rig something to hold it in with the face outwards but I can't see it being very secure and at over a pound you don't want it shimmying around inside the case if you turn the board over.

Great review! I just noticed Mode put this on their website and was really interested in it. Any recommendations on a 75% hot swappable keyboard with RGB's for the keys? I tend to game/work in a darker room and have a light up keyboard (i just leave it on blue or green) helps a lot.

Agree on the LEDs I think it would have looked awesome with that polycarbonate bottom and specially if its was a simple white colored led which will reflect the colors of the weight materials inside... it would have been very nice indeed... ooooh and yeah that was bad mistake putting the unfinished multicolored side on the side that is not visible.... thanks for the detailed review as I was really looking forward to this board.

Laneware LW-75 - The GB just ended, but there will absolutely be extras in a few months. Laneware LW-67 - Being delivered to customers basically now or VERY shortly, with extras coming available shortly after, so in the next few weeks or less. Another top quality option. Charue Design Sunsetter - These are about to be delivered to customers as well, which means extras will be available within the next month or so too. Quantum Labs Delta - GB is over, but it’s an exploded 65 layout with a knob, and there will likely be extras available in the coming months. There are many others past and coming up for GB at some point this year, but those are the ones that initially popped into my mind. Hope that was helpful. 👍

hey no offense to you, this goes to all keyboard reviewers, but when people say there is no sound difference in parts, do you actually not notice a difference in sound? because I always do hear a noticeable difference like with the alu or polycarb lower case. though I do have perfect pitch which might make it different? is this just something video related and irl you really don't hear a difference or do you not notice it in general?

You CAN buy them separately, but I doubt they will work on other boards, unless your board has very similarly shaped mounting points.
