Your videos are so concise and easy to follow....The Kemper is a great tool, but has a learning curve....you help with that....thanks Rich

Glad you like them. I agree that digital modelers require some learning time. Many tutorial videos skip over a lot of details, so I try and cover everything, even if it does make some of the videos a little on the long side :-)

so this work has to be done in browser? and cannot be done in performance?

It dosent work for me? I have the Kemper in perform mode is the setup then different?
@fuserocker12 жыл бұрын
I have the Kemper Stage, and the settings are quite a bit different. Do you have a tutorial for this same feature but with the Kemper Stage. I couldn't get it to work via this tutorial. Thanks.

Hi James, Thanks for this awesome video! Works perfectly! With Kind regards, Ference

Hope this post is still active: In the video (and in my personal case) when switching between the wah and pitch I clearly see the light of stomp A (wah) still on and I can hear both the pitch and the wah. I thought it should turn the automatically off, when turning on the pitch.

HELLO James I ALREADY FOLLOWED YOUR TUTORIAL I DID SAME AS YOU BUT IT NOT WORKS WHY ?? :( I CONNECTED TRS CABLE FROM OUTPUT 1 TO 5 PEDALS OF REMOTE AND TS CABLE FROM OUTPUT TO 6 PEDAL
@TimRosemusic7 жыл бұрын
so you need two trs cables for both outputs no matter what? or are these two separate solutions? sorry for being dense
@JamesLebihan7 жыл бұрын
You need a Mission EP1-KP expression pedal which has two outputs, one for the pedal and one for the switch. For the pedal out you must use a TRS cable. For the switch out a TS cable will work. If you don't want to use the switch, you can leave it unconnected but you won't be able to use the switching functions. There connection tutorial is here:kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGemeaybqrl8prMm28s

How are you connection the Volume pedal to the remote ( Mission VM-1 )

Can the Volume pedal control be assigned to different places in the sink chain so it is after all the gain setting and before the time based FX ?
@JamesLebihan8 жыл бұрын
In the Rig menu, you can choose where to place the volume pedal in your chain.

Thanks, I have just now started to get more into my Kemper. I'll try that next !

Hey dude, thx for posting. I finally got it to work, lol! Don’t know if you still check this or not but, if you do, I have a question. Do you have to configure the wah for every rig or is there a global setting on the Kemper? Thanks again.

I don't have WahPedal to Vol or WahPedal to Pitch on my Kemper now... and the MIDI page is [Page15/18] that's with OS version 5.0.3.12660 ~ any idea how I can setup both Wah and Vol now with my EP1-KP?

AH HA... found it in pedal links Page [5/18]

Hi James!... just got an aero sp 25m Pro expression pedal from you and I'd like to know if work with kemper power head and remote.? any chance to have a tutorial for this case?.. many thanks!
@JamesLebihan4 жыл бұрын
It’s not officially supported but it should probably work. There is not any difference in setting it up to the EP1-KP. Make sure that the SP25M is set to standard (tip) polarity and remember the switch output on the SP25M is on the opposite side of the pedal.

I Thought Kemper would set the effect through each performance individually and not system. In this situation, with one expression pedal we´re limited to two effects only.

Hi James, I have the vm-1 -gn... can I use it with Kemper? I'm trying everything and nothing,,, thanks
@JamesLebihan3 жыл бұрын
The VM-1 is a volume pedal and cannot be used as an expression pedal. You use it between the guitar and the Kemper instrument input just to control the volume, but you cannot use it via the Kemper expression pedal inputs for other functions. For that you will need the EP1-KP

@@JamesLebihan thanks so much for fast response!!! I will buy the ep for kemper.

I understand the mission EP1-KP pedal's toe switch is a momentary one, but not sure a latch switch is good for on/off wah effect? IN this case a SP-1 will work as well?
@JamesLebihan4 жыл бұрын
The SP-1 will not work. The Kemper Profiler will work with a momentary switch only. You can still turn a wah effect on and off with the switch, the Profiler controls the switch behavior digitally.

@@JamesLebihan Thanks, James. this is at the answer I get for Kemper. Use EP-KP for Kemper as it was designed for. Certainly EP-KP will work best with Kemper, but I have no idea what aspect of control over Kemper will not be available with SP-1. I tried it on Kemper it can on/off wah effect block, through I find I need to out full weight on the toe switch.Since by momentary means the switch has to be pressed on to keep the effect engaged and I am not aware how it could be useful for wah on/off.

Great video...Thanks. One question. I got it to switch back and forth between Wah and Volume, no problem. The issue is, if I have it in Wah Mode, and stop the pedal in a specific position (using the wah for tone shaping) it immediately reverts back to the non-wah setting. When I move the pedal it re-engages the wah pedal. Is there a setting to keep it from automatically switching back?
@JamesLebihan7 жыл бұрын
The Kemper has some auto on/off settings for the wah effect. On the wah stomps settings page across to 2/3 and you should see the on off settings: Off - No pedal control Touch - No pedal control, wah responds to picking strength like a touch wah On - Pedal controls wah frequency. No auto switching. You need to assign a switch turn the effect on and off Bypass and stop - Pedal controls wah. Effect automatically turns on when you move the pedal, and off when you stop moving it Bypass heel - Pedal controls wah. Effect turns off when you park pedal in heel down Bypass toe - Pedal controls wah. Effect turns off when you park pedal in toe down If you want the wah to stay on until you hit a switch to disable it. Set this to 'ON'

Can you do this with the AX8? Volume to Wah?
@JamesLebihan6 жыл бұрын
You probably can. I'm not that familiar with the AX8, but you can do it on the Axe-Fx so there is a good chance it will be similar. Here are the instructions for the Axe-Fx and MFC kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4e3dX19eNJ5mq8
