Mr. Applegate - I have watched a couple of your videos and thank you for your efforts. I did notice that you do not have a fuse on your starter. Unless you have a fuse in another location, I strongly recommend that you install one. Two of our club members have had electrical fires in the last year. Neither had any current protect, and both caused a good bit of damage.

Most of these Model As have not been used or maintained enough. Glad you got L Andrews book ; the steering box adjustment has to be properly done as he describes & not just fiddled with. You test looseness at steering/Pitman arm & jack up front to check there is no binding left to right. It is a very good steering & can be well set up ; I have done mine recently. I would hold back on videos until more educated on the Model A.

I think the videos are fine. That's how we learn - even if not what to do. I agree most Model As, even "parade quality" or full restorations, are mechanically a mess. A repaint or bodywork is NOT restored! Start peeling the onion and there's little but disappointment in your fellow man. They did survive the depression but this is why I refuse to pay much for one regardless of how nice they may appear. If an older guy really did restore his properly and did each mechanical part, he will be asking $30K. Then, still, there are those who attempt that price with the typical hidden flaws.

Appreciate you sharing these videos. I'm looking to buy one, like you I'm looking for one that just needs to be or with my own wrenching on it,be very roadworthy under it's own patina.

I just had a 2 tooth steering column rebuilt for my 29 Fordor. Getting ready to swap out from a 7 tooth that has a lot of play in it. Would love to see you install your column. I'm not much of a mechanic and could use any tips. Thanks
