This video will show the machining process for the cylinder component used in the Autodesk Model Engine project. In the previous two videos of this series, I modeled the part and then added the required toolpaths in CAM. This video will show the finished product made on the Syil X7.

Making machining video's that look good AND are educational is a black art. this is by far the best channel on KZbin for people who are actually trying to make parts

Great job, I was looking forward to this video all week. One thing I'd like to actually see in a video is touching off on your part for op2, especially for a more complicated part in the future. Even if it's only a few second clip in the video, it'd help me a great deal I think in my ventures

Great video Kevin I really learnt a lot from your videos as a fellow Syil owner in AU :)

Great job with the video Kevin! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us trying to learn cnc. I recently stuck a GoPro mount in the front side of the spindle housing and it seems to be helping keep the coolant off the camera. I might look into making one of those air blades also.

Thank you Adam. I'm glad you liked. Maybe one day I'll be able to replicated your video setup skills. Thanks for the GoPro tip. I'll see if I can give that a try.

Hey Kevin, this video was AWESOME!! I would encourage you to not worry as much about the filming/photography aspect of the videos as you will improve with time. The valuable thing here is that you are education the public on things that are achievable at a hobbyist level. Keep up the great work!

Great job Kevin. The GoPro Air knife project would be a great ‘follow along’ series for us to all make. Loving all the little Fusion tips, I find that I’m re watching your videos many times over to try and learn and remember all the tricks.

Great video concept Kevin 👍 Thanks for taking the time to explain all the little nuances. Don’t sweat the video quality mate… it will develop over time. Meanwhile…. the pace and detail of all three phases is spot on IMHO. Love ya work… 🤣 Regards Robert

Thank you for the video. I appreciate the knowledge and steps in fusion. Those videos are what is important and they always come out great. Seeing the cad/cam put into practice is always a bonus

Nice pace for this video. As for camera set up, lighting and audio, I've spent thousands $ and hundreds of hours trying to improve here. If you're a one man op, you'll never get this right. There's always something. You're just juggling to many things at once to get it right. My advice, work on audio first. I could on and on about video production stuff but it's 4am. Let have a conference call about gear.

Hi, Kevin. First time posting here. I've been searching for feedback on Syil breakdowns and how the situation around fixing them came out. I'm looking at their L2 lathe actually. Do you have any feedback on PR with their tech and or repair situations?
