I bought a '24 300rx used and it is an absolute woods weapon. I put my extra 18" wheelset on as well as the forks from my 200 while i wait to have the stock suspension revalved for me. I also moved the boano race harness off my 200 onto it so I can run a headlight for enduros when I want to. This bike basically does everything I ask of it from hard terrain to moto.

I did the same thing with my 24 300 SX. IT does the flowy single track and hard stuff without issues. I love it and put 100 hours on it since April.

A few things you left out, rubber mounted handlebars reduce vibration, a 50mm KYB rear shock body vs the previous 46mm, a 22mm rear axle vs 20mm, it requires a bunch of new parrts, swingarm, bearings, wheel and spacers as well as axle. IIRC the clutch pushrod has been updated. Good job Jared, and enjoy vacay.

I've been thinking about one of these for GNCC/XC races. I don't think the 5 speed is an issue or the 19" rear hoop especially if you run bibs. Most of the racers convert MX bikes to woods weapons anyway. I ran my 2001 RM250 which was a 5 spd and a 19" rear with heavy duty tubes without any problems. Have fun on your trip!

This is a great bike for woods/desert/alpine if you soften the valving just a bit, but everyone should do some suspension customization. Race tech it and look up the shim pack needed. I love the race editions but I agree they have too many of the enduro model widgets. Also need mapping switch on left thumb

Fuel on should be forward. I just inadvertently bumped mine to off while leading a friendly race… but with pride on the line it was a shame! 😆

What is the difference between a race edition and an RX?? Just the carb???

Jared... bro... I do not want to go back to converting MX bikes to woods. A 5 speed is an absolute no-go for us in the western US. Also, the headlight is value added for most of us out here in the west. When I race I remove it. When I am riding in the desert or doing mountain single track I want the headlight on to help prevent a collision with other riders and get me back in the dark even though I typically use a helmet light. I do wish there was simply a left side start switch and right side kill switch. Also, I hate IMS tanks. I do not want the additional weight or fuel sloshing around in the larger IMS tanks, I never use them. I get plenty of range out of the stock race edition tank. Also, a 250 is where its at for faster lighter riders who are not doing hard enduro. The Beta 300 is livelier than past gen of KTM 300, but the 250s are still better for going fast without moding the porting on the 300. Also, the 250 handling is much more precise.

I sold an immaculate TM 300 full Ohlins because of the five speed. No top end. Beautiful bike. Should have kept it. Got yz450 yellow anniv ed.

Will the 2025 sub-frame, airbox boot and plastics bot up to the 2023 300RX? You guys should offer a kit if so.

I think there is a chance but not sure I would waste the time or energy… probably pretty expensive and you could just apply that cash into upgrading into a 2025. Enjoy The Ride, Jared

I had a 2020 xt and I made it as nasty as I could with power mods. I was goin to slap a rx jug piston and head on my xt but my deal would NOT tell me if it was possible to do that. They said they'd email beta about doing something like that and I'd never here back. And I asked two different dealers.... I think beta told them not to say. So they'd try to sell me an Rx. I probably will lol

Not sure, the 2024s are on a blow out sale right now. I would buy a 2024 for sure, I don’t see any changes coming on the 2025.

Am I lost or are these new bikes?? I’m 34 and I have always rode 4 wheelers and dirt bikes but it’s always been The usual Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki and I have had all 4 in dirt bikes and 4 wheelers

Well, Beta has been around since 1904 as a company, early on they concentrated on their trials business but the last 20 years they have produced enduro bikes. Enjoy The Ride, Jared
