I love my beta's but I do not see the need for the 250 Xtrainer. The 300 xtrainer is so user friendly.

Hey question I have a 300x trainer with the choked up air box 2024 model. If I just go with the open air filter cage what do you recommend doing with the jetting go up a size on the main?
@3SeasRecreationКүн бұрын
Hey, that's a good question. I think the Beta's come pretty rich on jetting so I wouldn't touch it. Normally folks go down a main and pilot jet so you should be 100% fine with stock jetting and the air filter change. However, always pay attention to the bike and check your plug occasionally! You said before, “Only the European models come with the safety lanyard.” Correct? Reason I’m asking is the dealer I work for just got our first delivery of beta and is the new beta dealership in Michigan and our Xtrainer 250 does indeed have the electric safety lanyard. Hope you can help me make sense of this.

Nice one! Can we use the 250cc standard air filter cage on 300cc? Is it okay/safe?

Yes, absolutely. We have been using the stock 2-stroke air filter cage in the Beta XTrainer 300s with no issues! Enjoy The Ride, Jared

Hey Jared :-) regarding the 250 not feeling as peppy, it's kind of hard to tell in the video but I'm pretty sure in your driveway test you were in the rain map on the 250. Looked like the right side White LED was illuminated. Not sure if you knew that or not.
@3SeasRecreationКүн бұрын
Yea I definitely thought about that during the editing… Sadly I never notice much of a difference in the maps so even with that I’m still thinking there isn’t much of a difference…

Great video, thanks for sharing it with us! The wheels of the XTrainer and full size models are different. While the holes for the valve stem and rim lock are 4 spokes apart on the big models they are opposite on the XTrainer's. you may say that plays no role, but it does when you run Tubliss systems.
@3SeasRecreationКүн бұрын
Thanks for the info! I suppose I never noticed the holes in the rims! We have always ran mouse bibs in our wheels. I have 3 sets of wheels for our pro rider Mark who runs our shop build hard enduro XTrainer. The other two sets are standard Beta rims so I suppose as long as you are not running tubless everything should be good to go for a swap. Enjoy The Ride, Jared
@HereWyomingКүн бұрын
I put tubliss on my xtrainer with no issues, and i didn't drill extra holes. Just have to line it up before putting it in. Tire soap works better than soapy water no matter what you use, tube, or mousse etc...
@mrskywalker115Күн бұрын
Ive always heard it was more on how the bike handles in the woods as it will feel lighter as the lighter piston(250 is usually cast instead of forged on top of being smaller) has less gyroscopic effect on handling and change directions easier. That was reviews from the older 250 xt where it was just the bore difference so the power delivery was smother on the 250 where looking at the specs on these the 250 has longer stroke and smaller bore so it does seem the motors flip between over and under bore so sort of redundant as long stroke 250 will probably be almost identical to larger bore shorter stroke 300.
@3SeasRecreationКүн бұрын
I am hoping to get these in the woods to give a better test, not the most exciting test with me riding them down a drive way... I was just hoping to feel a bigger difference. Enjoy The Ride, Jared
@mrskywalker115Күн бұрын
@@3SeasRecreation looking forward to it, Ive owned an xt and loved it but when the funds/family situation allows I am looking at several options(250/300 xt or 200rr, or possibly 390 if I decide to use an Electric motion XR as my hard enduro bike and 390 for dual sport/xc race bike)

Hey Jared, I would love to see a comprehensive comparison video between the X Pro and the Race Edition if you are looking for another video to do. I know KYB vs Sachs but am interested in what they did to make it shorter as well as possible mapping differences and or cylinder/head differences. Is the head angle the same, turning radius the same, and differences on gearing (both internally and sprocket sizes) Any and everything you can think of! I was talking with some guys I ride with and they are all wondering the same thing! Thanks again for always putting out helpful content.

I never had a 2-stroke and haven't had a small enduro bike for a few years, but kind of intersted in the Beta's now. But, being a carbed bike will i need to re-jet for temperature? I will only ride at near sea level.
@3SeasRecreationКүн бұрын
You should go for it! I do NOT think you need to adjust the jetting very often. I would set it for your favorite riding temperature and enjoy it. Obviously if its set for 65 degrees and its negative temperatures you need to adjust it but that is pretty rare. We ride all year and don't modify our jetting for the average trail rides. Enjoy The Ride, Jared

Did the dealership have to install the e brake or was that installed from the factory? I just purchased a 2024 G2 950 sport and it doesn't have the e brake. I'm in Canada but I don't know why that would matter, we need to keep them from rolling away too. I asked the dealer and he said they never put them on in Canada because they caused problems in the US.
@3SeasRecreationКүн бұрын
Good afternoon, in 2024 they did not come with the e brake standard. However, CFMoto USA came out with an options kit to add the e brake at no charge to the customer. At first a lot of dealers were struggling to install the kits as they couldn't get the brakes to bleed. We figured out the tricks and they work 100% the way they did before the install. Enjoy The Ride, Jared
