Thank you so much for putting this together. I was curious about your storage unit you were using in your previous video, I’m very happy to have a whole video dedicated to this! Many thanks mate

Hi Tris. Nice video. Take a candle to the "runners" of the wooden drawers and they will run that little bit more smoothly.

What a great collection, great to see it all organized like that, My whole collection would fit in 2 drawers. Once my layout is finished I need to go on a used rolling stock spending spree.

I am sure you will build up your collection but its not all about how many things you have if you enjoy what you have.

Storage and organization ar ealmost as important as track laying and electrical in the model train world! Cool video, Tris!

I've got pretty much the same set up for most of my rolling stock. Though keep mine all upright (mine are very full), so I should get some non slip mats to stop them rolling about. I do like that you've sorted them into draws of similar things, nice and tidy. Cheers

I’ve got a similar set up for storage and glued some polystyrene blocks to the inside of the drawer ends to help prevent damage to couplings and buffers if the stock slides around

Thats exactly what I have done for storage, mine came from B+Q £29 set of 8 drawers but I had to take off top layer to fit under layout, just restacked the spares .

That’s excellent I’m hoping there are some offers that come up as I’ll get some more.

Hi Tris I’m glad to see your under layout area is as untidy as mine 😂 I like that storage system I have similar ones and will be getting some of the non slip matting after seeing your previous video. Cheers Kev

Fun video, I have used similar drawers for years, the older ones worked better as they were a better size, I've noticed the last couple I bought are shorter and so won't take longer coaches, particularly when still boxed. Have you thought about changing the runners on the wooden drawers you can buy draw runners at any good DIY shop (or from Amazon).
@OONeal2 жыл бұрын
I could fix the draws but its not the right thing for the loft I feel. I think ill give it to charity. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

Hi Tris, a question were all your locomotives and rolling stock in boxes before you placed them into your new storage racks? If so what have you done with the boxes? Take care and stay safe 😊😊😊😊
