Just like to apologise firstly for re uploading the video again, but I wasn't happy with audio quality. Enjoy watching me building my Girder bridge for the Branchline. Then conclude running the GT3 gas turbine loco. Thanks for watching again.

That looks really good. Love how the junction splits onto the single track and across the main line 👍. Just come across your channel 👍

Thanks for your comment. If you see earlier videos of my channel, you will see how the trackwork used to look like. Much better now. I'm glad we made the changes when we did.

Hi, thanks for subscribing to the channel . I hope you won't be disappointed. I'm really pleased how the bridge has turned out and still more to do with it. Yes, the GT3 is interesting, especially the sound. It sounds like a harrier jump jet 😉😂😂. Thanks again John

Hi, the bridge was scratchbuilt by using Peco LK-10 Girder Bridge sides and using Evergreen scale models i beam underneath Girder sides. I hope that was helpful to you. Kind regards John

You would have a home/stop signal before the junction. Distant signals are used to warn that the next (set of) stop signals are set to stop, you can pass a distant signal (with caution), and they would be placed about 1/2 mile or more from the next stop signal, to allow time for breaking.

Hi Neil, Thanks for the information. That's one thing I need to learn about and understand is signalling. Your comment has been most helpful. Thank you

@@HighOakJunction Simple rule for semaphore signals: Home are red/green - red means stop you shall not pass. Distant are yellow/green - yellow means warning, you may pass with caution, be prepared to stop at a coming Home signal. So if you want a train to stop at a point, then you need a Home signal. There are more complex rules on placement at junctions, stations and the like. But basics will get you past most things.

Thanks, Al, for watching and your comment. I'm really happy how the bridge is turning out 👍🏼. Yeah, the covid is still doing the rounds , I don't want that again. My wife had it as well, but just cold symptoms , me the full works 🙄🤧🥵🤒. I'm glad you're both well. Malc is really pleased with the model, something different for the layout. All the best, take care, John.

That is one totally unrealistic bridge!

Maybe so, but then my layout is technically not realistic, but I'm happy with it, and that's what matters 😊. But thank you for your time watching and leaving your comment. Regards John

I supposed if you were modelling the layout on a specific area or you were displaying on an exhibition circuit, then you would be more precise. As for me, I just enjoy the hobby and create what I want. I like your comment🤗, and thanks for watching . All the best, John 👍🏼
