Evening. Keep at it mucker and get that loop smashed out. I've just finaly squared away my electrical wiring and I'm running locos without dramas. Does wonders for moral and enthusiasm! Happy modeling and all the best.

Thanks, I bet it does! Hopefully shouldn't take me too long now to get something running! Cheers

You are far more patient and skilled than I will ever be. The track work is very impressive. It is going to be amazing when it's all finished.

Thanks very much, Its getting there, If only I would stop destroying my electronics lol

Great to see you back at the layout Michael. I just love seeing that handmade trackwork. Exquisite. Paul
@MichaelHenfrey6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Paul, It does look good but extremely time consuming lol. Still.. On my way to getting the loop completed and seeing something running! Cheers

Track work is coming along nicely. all looks so impressive.I'm scratching building point and feel your pains.
@MichaelHenfrey6 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much, I don't blame you for just doing points, if I was building a large layout I'd probably do the same rather than all of it. Cheers

Really Impressive stuff Micheal, your a better man than me making all that track by hand. great update............John.
@MichaelHenfrey6 жыл бұрын
Thanks John, It made it a little easier by bringing the rail and chairs out of the loft and threading some on when I had a few spare minutes. Cheers

Your track does look very realistic. Seems very tedious to me, but each to his own on that. Interesting solution on your point control. Good update. Rob
@MichaelHenfrey6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rob, It is quite tedious, maybe I should have started with a small layout first. Anyway I can understand why alot of people just use peco track! Cheers

Good to see the progress and enjoyed the how to section. That is painstaking work and it will repay the effort once its done, but I can understand you needing time away to recharge the batteries. Stephen
@MichaelHenfrey6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Stephen, It is indeed but it shouldn't be too long until trains are running now I hope. After that progress can speed up abit. Cheers

Hi Michael It looks super but I know how difficult it is not to be too critical of your own work, been there still doing it. If it works its all good. Its certainly impressive looking. Keep up the good work. Cheers Paul
@MichaelHenfrey6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Paul, It certainly is, but I could end up spending ages on trying to perfect the points and I would get nowhere with the rest of the layout. At least now I can work my way to completing a loop and getting something running! Cheers

Michael Henfrey, Just watched your video update on your Track for your Locomotives. An your doing a grand job on building the track up. An Thanks for the tips too. 😊 You enjoy your day today.

Thanks very much! It's taking quite a long time to complete but will be worth it in the end! Cheers

Great update mate. Thanks for the stretcher bar explanation; that helps a lot. Looks real piss easy 'n' quick, my kind of compromise! Also thanks for the shout out. Didn't expect that. I got 4 or 5k subs so I'll return the gesture on one of my next vids. Should help. ;) I think you have done the right thing with the points. As long as things don't fall off then move on to the next set then one day way in the future when more is complete you may have more ability and confidance to revise them.
@MichaelHenfrey6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, yeah I had initially recorded me making them up but realised it was probably going to be too much of teaching you to suck eggs lol so I scaled it back and I know you have access to the s4 news which shows it better anyway, all I did was add that tube for the piano wire. Very simple and very sturdy. Haha that would be awesome! I'd probably get a few more if I put videos out more often, once I get onto the scenics things should speed up. Yes leave them for now and like you say I can always re-make them at a later date, I think for now getting a loop done and trains running will help. Cheers

Hi Michael, I’ve really enjoyed your videos, very informative, could you please tell me which software you use for your track templates, thank you 🙂
@MichaelHenfrey6 жыл бұрын
Hi Natalie, Thanks very much. I used Templot for my track templates. It's free and very good but it takes time to learn

Nice track work. Which brand is the track? Is it a building set your putting together or is it scratchbuild?
@MichaelHenfrey6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, The rail is HiNi nickel silver bullhead rail from C&L finescale and the chairs are from Exactoscale. All I get is the individual parts and have to put it all together in the way that I want.. And yes it does take ages! Lol
