I go for realism and those buildings and attention to detail are simply astounding. Thanks so much for the ride!

Beautiful layout and scenery! Love the elevated track through town. Prototypically the caboose would be trailing the pusher. They weren’t built as strong as hoppers and other freight cars, and might be in danger in front of the pusher.

Undoubtedly one of the finest looking locomotives ever built. Great layout.

This is a great operation of a brass class h8 locomotive mixed in with details about the prototype h8 class locomotive, the "Allegheny" class h8 engines last operated in 1956 and the c&o rr ended the steam era with an impressive articulated steam engine type.

I run the same engine in O scale. The buildings are very realistic. You did a great job!

Is the hooter whistle, similar to N&W, what they really sounded like. This and an animated 2-6-6-6 you tube video both indicate the hooter whistle. What a tragedy NOBODY recorded them on video or audio to speak, rival to the Big Boy.

Very Very Good!!! Best H8 paint I've seen. its better when they articulate correctly too. did H8's use pushers? I thought they were so powerful, and with a factor of adhesion of 4.10 and C&O's sidings weren't that long, so the trains were not over 100 (85?) hoppers long. Been a long time since I went through the Lima's Finest or C&O power books...

Your model railroad is fabulous. The detail is incredible. I enjoyed the archival footage thrown in, too. I presume you don't have any trouble with a pusher on the back pushing too hard and derailing cars? Thanks for posting.

Great scenery, and weathered rolling stock. These miners do not make a lot of money, most of them are driving 30year old T-fords!
@truebras12 жыл бұрын
Great video. Amazing layout. Great locomotive weathering. I guess the Alleghenies are brass models, right? I also can guess that these locomotives don't sound like Soundtraxx Tsunamis. Are using ESU Loksound? I had overheating/shut down problems with Tsunami in articulated going on 2.5% grades.

too bad there will never be a restored Allegheny Hopefully H-6 2-6-6-2 1309's operation on the western maryland we will see more large mallets in operation, they chose the H-6 because it would be easier on the track than a 2-10-0 or any other large rigid loco.
