Thanks for this video, Adam! Very cool - and timely for me - review of an aircraft that in full scale, graces the skies over my head quite often! Loads of truly useful information about the flying characteristics and what to watch out for.

@@ModelAV8RChannel Yes, Adam... we get the F-15E Strike Eagles practising their dogfight manoeuvres overhead, albeit at a reduced speed, but it's still a bloody awesome sight and sound! And then the F-22s come out to play...

Another very good review ! This F-15 looks just great, rolls like crazy, and can put on an impressive air show. ( Ooops - I guess the pilot sort of did that ! ) Well done AV8Rs !

Ha! Awesome. I'm impressed. I like the whole series, but so far the F-22 and this one are my favs. I'll tell you how much I like it...after I crashed the one they sent us I could have just fixed it enough to be passable...I paid for another myself because I wanted a perfect example in my hangar.

@ that’s saying something!! I appreciate you for your reviews, I’ve only flown my f22 once but your setups and videos have helped me with the 22 and the T7A. Spot on rates! If you get the su57 and f14 I’ll def be here for those

Nice review Adam and that camo really shows up nicely on the cloudy day. Great job with the video Heidi, I don't know how you keep it centered in the frame so well. I tried to video my friend flying and I couldn't find the plane half the time. Thanks for sharing.

One day, hopefully, we will have more twin 40mm and 64mm sized jets that will also feature retractable gear. Power systems are getting better and better so I don’t see why not. These xfly jet look awesome but retractable gear is a must for me.
@RedFuryIII5 сағат бұрын
I have this and the FMS 64mm F-15. Hands down this is a prettier and more scale version and yes, lol you have to keep an eye on those elevators when belly landing. New set already installed. Both planes are acrobatic and forgiving but the 64mm has more power to pull you out of a sticky situation. I'd love you to review the FMS/Eflite Eagle as it was my first EDF. That said, the details on this Xfly for such a small park flyer are to be appreciated, especially the tail cones and shape of the fuselage, just a pleasure to see up close.
@ModelAV8RChannel4 сағат бұрын
I agree with your findings. All the twin 40's need some energy management more so than some of the more overpowered EDF's...although with the docile stall characteristic you can get this one out of most situations. Except a low altitude high alpha screw up, lol. Of course then...it ain't the planes fault.
@A.M.-RC11 сағат бұрын
Great video as always! A comparison with the 64mm FMS/ E-flite would be nice in the future, they look very similar in size. Too bad they don't have working rudders, I miss having them especially lining up for landing.
@ModelAV8RChannel3 сағат бұрын
Thanks! I've flown the E-flite 64. It has more power, the XFly looks more scale. Both are forgiving and fly really well. Yep, I also would prefer a rudder, but I think at the price point they are trying to keep them super simple.

Great Adam .These twin edf’s from x fly are great value . I was waiting for this review - as I was thinking of getting this or the f-22. Looks like the f-22 flies slower and very tolerant and a bit more forgiving compared to f-15 ? I’m torn between these 2 as entry Edf’s before I plunge into the eflite viper 64mm
@ModelAV8RChannel3 сағат бұрын
I'll be honest man, the two are both pretty easy to fly and forgiving. Both can fly pretty slow but yes the F-22 will fly slower without getting too cute and approaching high alpha...which can get you into trouble with either one if you're low and it goes south. The F-15 may have a tiny bit more punch as far as speed. All that said, the Viper 64 is an excellent first EDF as well...with a working rudder, and it is a little bigger with lights, so its easier to see. Flies slow well too. I do get that the price point of the twin 40's is less intimidating for a new EDF pilot though. All great choices for different reasons.
@kianwong51103 сағат бұрын
@ thanks Adam for your time in replying . I can see quite,rightly, that you seem to be smitten by the viper . Size is a concern for me as I have a small flat. That’s why I was thinking about the twin 40mm . The 64mm viper has a lot bigger wingspan . But I love it ! Plus all the gyro settings are sorted on the viper Great channel and filmed well . Keep it up bro ..k
@ModelAV8RChannel3 сағат бұрын
You've got me there. I am hugely impressed with that Viper. That said I'm also impressed with all the twin 40's in the XFly series so far...they are all good. The F-22 or F-15 would fit your mission perfectly.

@@ModelAV8RChannel I mean I was shocked at high amazing the flight envelope of the viper is . Also how it handles grass take offs and landings . And how quickly it rotates, even off bumpy grass . your channel is great Adam . I look forward to more your reviews !!

Great flying and great review Sir. Just ordered the F-18 twin 40 myself, but sure enough Im being tempted by this one 😁. Could you just give us a quick "comparo", the F-18 on the specs ought to be lighter, but this F-15 looks like it flies lighter? better lift with its aifoil lifting body?
@ModelAV8RChannel3 сағат бұрын
Thanks man. Yep, your guess is correct. The F-15 does fly lighter and the wing and body may be why. The other thing is you can get more elevator deflection with the F-15. They both fly great, heck all the twin 40's do.

I think that in edf we need something like Trojan 1.1 or Mustang 1.0 - More sport-scale, more robust, with a strong belly for loading, why not a transparent plastic mold to protect the belly? Hey manufacturers, get to work!

There is...E-Flite Viper 64. Has everything you mentioned and then some. Plastic on the bottom is white.
