So it's usually blocking > sub d> start seperating pieces (what did you do with the booleans? do you clean the topology up?) and adding more pieces as you keep refining shapes and details? any other tips?

@@raidosounds Nope, no cleanup! I honestly dont care about topology when it comes to concept art. In my mind, everything I make is either for a final render or for my own use. I'm not modeling for a game engine pipeline or for other people to use my assets. Even if I rig and animate these models, I'll do it in my own jank way that only I understand, because the final animation render is all that matters. If I wanted to make a game asset, totally different approach.
