Fuel cells can be modeled in Simscape™ in both abstract and detailed forms. You can create models that represent the fuel cell with a voltage current characteristic. A more detailed model will include fluid flow and the stoichiometric equations for the consumption of hydrogen and the production of water vapor. In this video, Leo Ng from the Simscape Fluids™ development team shows how Simscape lets you explore fuel cell behavior at the component and system level.
