Do you happen to have a tutorial on how to give the meeple a wood grain texture noticeable underneath paint?

No I don’t. You could mix your paint material with the wood grain material using a mix or add node.

I've been trying a few things, mostly procedural wood grains, but I haven't found just the right ingredients yet. I think I'll try a PBR texture next
