I live in a blessed or cursed area. Living in WNY, we can drive from no snow to wild snow/lake effect. One year we got 10-12 inches of wet heavy snow on Oct. 13. Trees and wires came down, but to add that crazy, counties surrounding us got nothing. So maybe we will get snow or maybe get nothing while towns around us get slammed. Oddly enough, my town probably get nothing again. Lake effect is crazy.

Buffalo area gets nailed with lake effect snow. But I’m stuck here. Ideally, I would love to live in northern Alaska- at least from Oct to mid- Feb.. then move to Antarctica from March to September. Cold.. no sunlight.:- snow…. Perfection!

Central Jersey here, same story. It’s like we get a dusting of snow if any. Ice, sure, no problem, but snow? I’d like 5 inches of dry snow, no ice please, just for a few days and then it melts and warms up a bit and rinse and repeat until winter is over. But I guess we don’t live in a perfect world 🤷‍♂️

I live in the piedmont of north Carolina and yes I'm sick and tired of watching everyone else get snow and we don't. It's been almost 3 years. I think that's kind of unusual for this area. There tends to always be bias towards this area when it comes to snow and I don't know why. I've heard older folks say that it used to be big snows multiple times around here every winter. It wasn't like it is now. Yall don't know what it's going to do. They were predicting a record warm winter again but we're getting this lovely cold weather. I hope it continues and the snow will FINALLY come!!

This is not going to happen. What will most likely happen is the trough in the east will rebuild for one last time and dump cold air into the east. No upper level support will get attached to any clipper systems so no snow for the east coast though there will be one more lake effect blast around the lakes. Then the trough will pull out of the east and a zonal flow will take hold and create a dry blowtorch that will wipe out any and all cold in the Midwest and east coast as the polar vortex will restrengthen and bottle all arctic air toward the North Pole which will last at least until the end of the year and beginning part of January.

I have never found myself once ever stepping outside on a hot summer day and immediately wanting to go back inside immediately but when it is cold that is how I feel all the time when I’m outside I immediately want to be inside in warmth! I can wait patiently for a cross walk to change on a hot summer day but when it’s cold outside I have no patience because of the cold I really don’t want to be standing around in the cold but in heat I don’t not mind standing around I literally went outside every day in the Summer just to be in the sun!

The trash is smelly and it’s full of mosquitoes. Bacteria thrives more under hot weather. I’ve really thought about just leaving to Florida myself also though I do worry about the summer months I’m more so worried about the storms and hurricanes how bad is the rain in Florida during the summer? How bad are the hurricanes? Do I just need to have a ride through the storm mentality? I’ve also thought about Arizona as another choice as it’s a little bit more closer to home really just want to be where it is still warm during the winter months I don’t want to see any amount of snowfall, frost or ice.

I’m so irritated. When I grew up in wheeling wv, snow came and stayed on the ground for months. Now, my son who is 11 hasn’t even seen that much snow. Everywhere else is getting tons of snow, but not us. Didn’t know you have to move to Canada to have a normal winter now a days. Like I’m ready. I have my north face boots, my tube.
