Moderating the Diana K98 PCP air rifle

2, 4, 6, 8, I love to moderate!
Yeah, slamming a moderator onto a K98 is heathenous, but so am I.
I also felt like comparing my scoped vs. un-scoped groups.
The Diana K98 PCP air rifle is so nice to hold, it's smooth, light, and mine doesn't rattle at all.
I've heard some people saying how awful the sights are, and sure, for long distances probably, but at 10m for a bit of target work? I find them to work really well actually!

Yeah, the sound is pretty bad, but up until now I never had a reason to invest in recording the garbage that comes out of my mouth. I tried to make the sound and lighting less awful, but gotta make do with what I got for now.

What scope are you using mate ?

@@oz2606 I mostly use the iron sights, but otherwise I use a Walther Compact 4x32, as it's cheap and works great for 10m target shooting.

Glad to see im not the only person that loves this thing. I just need to invest in a electric compressor. I have been hitting targets with slugs it works amaizing. If u have some good pellet/slug recommendations I'll gladly try as many as I can. Great video too 👍

It's just so... pleasant... to use! Everything about it is so smooth. I'm still foot/hand pumping, because my fat ass can use all the exercise it can get. I've found mine to love Meisterkugeln and JSB Simply pellets, it's not a fan of anything Crosman I've thrown at it, though. And mine's in power-limited .177, so not really slug territory for me, but really interesting to hear that it's working out for you, nice!

@@MyAirgunPhase it is beautiful im looking to get the .22 at some point. About those crossmans my gun dislikes them but the fast flights are cool. I also tried the gamo lethals those are somthing else. I'm new to all of this really but love just being out in the yeard and hitting chalk or clay.

Why would you put a suppressor on a gun that has a suppressor built in?

Because I'm curious. Sure, it's silly, but it also reduced the sound by ~10dB without hurting accuracy. But mostly because I was curious.

Velocity doesn't mean much without the pellet weight, so instead I'll say that where I live, the law is that airguns must be below roughly 7fpe, so that would be the maximum. However, this seems to an import from Germany, and as such is roughly 5.5fpe or 7.5J

@@zelachotv8940 The Diana website lists the retail version as 27J in .177 and 35J in .22 So if you live in a country where that power is allowed, you should just get it. However, there's a 10J limit where I am, which is why my guns are all under that limit.
