I own two, standard and de-lux. The de-lux has the adjustable sights and the contoured smooth grips, so the one shown here is a standard with the de-lux grips. A little known extra feature on the de-lux is a two stage trigger. This is achieved by the placement of a tiny spring between the trigger and the sear.

Hello. American but loves your channel and passion for air gun craftsmanship. It’s what is keeping sport shooting alive in the UK. If I could gift one air gun for my friend, with a budget of 238 pounds (300 US dollars) what would you suggest? I thought about the PP700, but figured I’d ask you first
@MyAirgunPhase3 ай бұрын
That's such a difficult question to answer! So many factors! What style do they like, what is their use case, are they shooting indoors/back yard... My PP700 is amazing, holds air forever, and I can put pellet through pellet after years of owning and shooting it. BUT It's a PCP, so you'll need to consider a pump as well, which blows out the budget. It's also quite loud, too loud for indoors unless you get an adapter and a moderator... more cost. So you could get a CO2 gun of some kind, but then your friend would have to buy cartridges as well, which is like "batteries not included". So maaaybe you could buy a single or multipump gun? Something like the Crosman 1322? They're cheap enough to have money left over to get a nice aluminium replacement front piece that has a moderator thread on, too. Or the Weihrauch HW40 / Beeman P17 single pump. I love my Zoraki HP-01, with moderator attachment it's super quiet, and MY trigger is amazing (I've heard others hate theirs, though). Buuuut maybe your friend won't like pumping, so maybe CO2 IS the way to go. Let me know what kind of narrowing it down you'd like.
@MyAirgunPhase3 ай бұрын
Oh hey, I just checked out Solware.co.uk, and the PP750 is on sale and fits in your budget (without pump), it's nice because it has a magazine and extendable stock, in case your friend finds the single-loading of the PP700 annoying.
@DireAvenger0013 ай бұрын
@@MyAirgunPhase Thank you for reaching back. Looking for an air pistol with consistency, so maybe regulated, rifled, that can shoot at least 4.5 ft/lbs. Backyard target shooter in mind PP750 looks good. If we didn’t want to go the PCP route, would the Cometa Indian be good for an all around plinker? Knowing him, he’d like metal/aluminum and wood over polymers and a ton of synthetics Maybe it’s wrong of me, but I’d like to get him something that might get him into the air gun “bug,” if he likes it enough. I’m an American gun nut so I’d feel a sense of comrodory 😂

I have two ...longer barrelled versions....the Hammerli Master. The whole mechanism is pushed out through the barrel....after unscrewing a large screw cap that the CO2 canister sits into. It's actually very easy if things aren't seized or over tight. Changed all my seals and both guns work flawlessly now. Very slim and light pistols, so they can be hard to keep steady in the hand....but very very accurate!

Just a quickie...do you have a pellet velocity law in (Denmark\Sweden) or a ftlbs energy limit like in the UK?🔫😸
@MyAirgunPhase5 ай бұрын
Yup, Sweden, lower than the UK, we've got a 10 Joule limit, ~7.4ft/lbs limit. But we are allowed up to .25 aka 6.35mm pellets within that. Denmark allows much more, but I'm in Sweden, so not that up to date.

I honestly couldn't tell you, sorry. The Kral website doesn't even list either of these models to check up on. "T" can mean "thumbhole" and refer to a stock that's more like a pistol grip than a usual rifle grip... but I don't think that's the case here.

Apparently these were developed for the Czech rapid fire pistol team as a training gun to save money on ammo. A warning. When loading, don't prime a new co2 bulb in the grip with a loaded magazine and the safety off. I did just that and got a 5 shot full auto burst. Velocity doesn't mean much without the pellet weight, so instead I'll say that where I live, the law is that airguns must be below roughly 7fpe, so that would be the maximum. However, this seems to an import from Germany, and as such is roughly 5.5fpe or 7.5J

What a wave of nostalgia, seeing this pistol. What good condition for its age. I started my shooting career in 1974 with one of these, as it was easier to cock and aim than the FWB model 65 and 80. My finest hour with the pistol was 5 shots through one hole at about 5 metres inside our garage. You can close the hole completely with a single pellet, and that target is still with me. The Master version had the longer barrel and could use the 12g cylinders if I recall correctly. We did add the auto bleed rear cap from the Master to our Single to avoid low pressure shots. Enjoy a wonderful little pistol.
@MyAirgunPhase9 ай бұрын
It's a fantastic pistol, indeed! It's incredibly simple in operation, and gives enough shots on the smaller cannisters! Thank you for sharing your history with it, and I absolutely love that you still have that target. There's nothing quite like those days! I've kept a target where I had 5 shots through the same hole with my Daisy 880 at 10m. I don't care if it was luck or a once-off, it happened, and it felt awesome! Thanks again!
