Modern Almond Gel Nail extension tutorial | Layout Aquarium French DIY | Glow in the dark Nails

In this tutorial I will show you how I do a nail extension called “Modern almond” with an Aquarium French design.
To create this nail design, I use stained glass gels, gold foil, plastic wrap and different glittery things. The intrigue of these nails is that they also glow in the dark because of added fluorescent pigment.
In this video, you will also see how I remove old nails and remove volumetric decorations from them, do a manicure, build up new nails step by step, create an aquarium design and do nail filings.

I LOVE the IBD hard clear builder gel. I was able to find an 8oz bottle of it on Amazon and the price of that worked out to be cheaper than the 2oz pot of it (about $40 for the 8oz vs about $20 for the 2oz). I was able to squeeze it into an empty bottle of the IBD base coat bottle so that I effectively have a "builder in a bottle " gel and the gel doesn't have as much of a chance at being a "houdini" and escape from the bottle unlike the gel that is in the pot which despite being stored untouched on a flat surface shelf and is barely moved from it's placement, it still escapes from its container (🤦‍♀️ ).

I also like to use the dual form "tips" to custom make my own gel nail tip extensions and then I build/sculpt my nails on top of the tips that I apply with a bit of builder gel where the tip attaches to my nail plate and I put a no wipe gel top coat on the rest of the tip extension so that I don't have to deal with a tacky/inhibition layer under my nails although I can easily use a clean up brush with rubbing alcohol to remove the tacky layer if I forget to use the no wipe top coat before curing the dual form tip extension to apply to my nail plate.

Thanks. Aquarium is a technique when you incupsulate things inside, it doesn't mean that something will swim or will be "fish" inside...😂😂

@@DashaNailArt i never thought for a second it had to do with fish. There can be MANY things in an Aquarium...ive been doing nails since 1984 and i went back and got re-certified in 2018. I am licensed. And i dont really want to argue. But im also trying to help anyone who may see this and is new. The technique you are using is not technically or in any other way an "aquarium" nail. Overlaying clear and encapsulating something doesnt make it "Aquarium" ,Im sorry its not to demean or lessen your work.the nails are Beautiful. But they arent by definition "aquarium " Now if you say," thats what i call them" well i cant disagree with that lol. Thats your right. But if you are on here for informational purposes and someone who is new at this is seeing it.... IT matters. You did a wonderfull job. The nails a Beautiful.
