This design is highly feasible! The design - itself - has considered so many factors most laymen seem to forget or take for granted. I am convinced some critical thinking skills were applied to the development of this plan! Being in the tropics, I am a sucker for "air flow" and house orientation (re: where the sun rises and where it sets) and the like. Imagine if your bedroom has been positioned where the afternoon sun strikes the bed directly! If such is inevitable, what measures could be done to diffuse the harsh effect? At 1:13 - the view of the lake (or is this an ocean) was shown. I reckon this is a vacation house? If so, in order to maximize appreciation of the view, the LR, DR and Kitchen should be fronting the body of water. Am I right? For optimal view, could the deck be extended? After doing so, perhaps the entrance could be pivoted to the side instead. Said entrance could be positioned between the dining room and the living room. Knock off the front terrace and widen the living room. The terrace is pretty huge! It spans 3.3 x 4.3 meters. If current entrance need to be where it is, maybe the terrace could be shortened. The 2 adjoining corners of the Living Room wall and the entrance wall could have glass walls! Once the Living Room area has been enlarged, perhaps we could use an additional sliding door or a continuous folding glass door spanning from the living room up to the kitchen. That way, the fantastic view is maximized and so is the enjoyment of more fresh air. Also, we have now blurred the indoors and the outdoors! Oh joy! Hope I am right . . . maybe not! LOL! Considering the present technology in the Philippines, I understand that there are folding glass doors that come with rolling screen doors. As you open the glass doors, the screen doors come rolling out! Is that true? By the way, if budget still permits or if budget is NOT an issue (wehhh - as if!), how about providing private balconies for the 2 other bedrooms . . . not just the MB! NO?! Oh . . . ok! (Sana all!) It seems people tend to forget that architects do not just draw house plans! Architects also consider a whole lot more like: ventilation system; electrical, communications and plumbing systems. Not to mention air-conditioning and/or heating systems - if so needed. Also, depending on the site, possibly: location, topography, geology and future landscape plans. Unfortunately, most laymen are just concerned with HOW the exterior looks. This thinking is what I call the: "BE-IMPRESSED-NEIGHBOR" or the "LOOK! I-HAVE-ARRIVED" rationale - that is . . . if they could be called rationale at all. (Sorry - folks - I need to rant!) Hence, KZbin channels - like this one - are replete with requests like: "Could you please design a 5 bedroom house for me similar to the one above?" or something to that effect. What?! So . . . people think they just stepped in a Burger-like Joint and could now order a house plan as if they are ordering a burger and a drink? Ha . . . ha . . . ha ! OK - as you submit the requested design . . . why don't you throw in some fries and catsup with that - as well! OhEmGee! Anyways . . . I digress! Thanks for sharing and for giving me the opportunity to comment. I truly appreciate your invitation! BTW . . . your designs inspire people. They provide a vision, offer a glimmer of hope and encourage others to pursue a dream. Keep up the good work! Soldier on! Once more . . . thanks for sharing and the opportunity to share my thoughts!
