I couldnt even damn hover as a new pilot when i started...almost quitted because i didnt made any progress and couldnt even make it past gate 2 on any simulator after 50h+ then i saw ur videos and u use lots of expo. Tried that too. Now i can fly and even do some basic tricks. Thank you so fricking much. You saved the hobby for me
@kmitchel467255 жыл бұрын
I Term Rotation and Absolute Control are mutually exclusive. Recently it was discovered the AC was broken, and after a fix was applied a number of pilots have had wobble issues. It is most likely that AC will be disabled by default for 4.0, as well as I term Rotation. Absolute control will supersede I term Rotation When issues are resolved. Smart Feed Forward should not be used, and will be removed. Smart FF uses the larger of P or F, so it requires significantly higher F (300 - 400) since it's using just F, not F + P. F is setpoint delta--change in stick movement / change in time--multiplied by a scaler and then added to the pidsum. It can be thought of as stick acceleration, the quicker you move the sticks the more F is applied.
@RobertLeclercq5 жыл бұрын
This right here. AC broken turn it off!
@Gs3xRfun5 жыл бұрын
AC must still be broken on whatever hex he is on. With BF3.5.x, wobble central at the end of maneuvers in my experience when you have absolute control on together with iterm_rotation.
@ugpfpv3615 жыл бұрын
This kind of stuff is exactly why I just use the traditional rate expo and super... Really wish they would let us control the expo break point.
@sketchpv30805 жыл бұрын
AC seems to have a default value of 10 in BF 4.0 RC. Perhaps I should reduce that to 0 as my micros are having weird yaw twitches when I pump the throttle mid turn. I can fly around it, but the twitch is very pronounced and annoying.
@kmitchel467255 жыл бұрын
@@sketchpv3080 The default has been changed in RC 5. Also there was a glitch discovered that would reset the lowpass filters to pt1 instead of biquads...might dblcheck your filtering.

@danieldimitri61335 жыл бұрын
Imho if you're not using Blackbox notch data to tune filters you're not tuning filters. With today's motors you can have a feedback loop from motor output. I also have a plastic frame that I discovered has a 375hz resonance, when I swapped in a fc with 32k gyro and tried it in betaflight it revealed a problem I didn't know I had and it wasn't motor noise related. I had a constant 375hz noise that showed up in the d term. I applied a notch at 375 but it was still there then d term notch.. Dynamic filter did nothing for this so I turned it off and just run another notch around 200hz for motor noise... Big difference but couldn't have done it without Blackbox.

@stingerswarm try thrust linear in cli mode. I run about 0.55. Thrust is squared with rpm this makes the pid loop act differently with different relative motor output values. Usually tpa is used to help but it's far from mathematically correct. Zero out tpa and set thrust linear. Speed controls with current based throttle would also do the same thing but since I'm the only one who thought that's a good idea it doesn't actually exist... So till then thrust linear ftw

thanks for making this video I really enjoy seeing other peoples perspective on some of this stuff I bumped up my transition just now and it’s what I’ve been missing haha I had thought the feeling I was getting was from P gain now I can go back to normal P values again! 🤗 ALSO in tighter quarters like bando flying Youll really feel the effects of high feed forward more makes it “hard” to navigate smoothly bc it will kick in harder since your moving the sticks past your transition point for those sharp turns!
