Well it sounds like there's definitely a kick drum and a cymbal being played that are not shown in the video. Without those, the cajon isn't doing that much. Give this same guy some bongos and I bet it would sound a lot better.

I have tried many internment over 30 years...failed miserably at most. I have the rhythm and the dexterity to play piano and drums...that's it. Being naturally amodexretis is a problem. As I am right handed with scissors and knives but I can write with both hands...I can only play guitar lefty. Its really difficult to take lessons because everyone wants to teach me as a right handed person but I'm goofy footed as it were. The cajon is the ideal bridge for me that allows an outlet with out feeling like an amateur or a failure

I was just looking into this instrument type and whas curious how it is played and how it sounds, but I did not expect this. Am blown away. Just Wow
@sync12162 жыл бұрын
Damn, that was soo good! Played it on my phone first, which was already pretty nice but over the speakers... WOOOW! The moment that bass came thru I fell in love! How have I not heard of such an amazing instrument before..? Can already see myself, with my harmonica on a neckholder while sitting on that.. 🤩 Thanks for the inspiration, presented with some serious skills! 👍 PS: I made a little experiment: with a chair of the right hight, a piece of scrap wood and then Hands vs. Sticks(as stand-in for brushes)... In my case, my own hight of over 2m makes it harder to play comfortably. That being said, for tall folks a Cajonito or Comparsa(from Schlagwerk) seem like the best solution. Other than that Meinl's Slaptop Cajones look comfy. Or as an alternative for the Comparsa(which has no snare) a kids cajon(with snare wires), saw the NiNO Artisan Edition(made by Pepote and NiNO seems to be part of Meinl) or LaRosa Studio Junior(found on this chanel). And in general - for harmonica players, I would recommend one of the above,or a full size cajon. Then with brushes or a pedal. As I noticed that bending over for the bass may hinder the breath, and theirfore the harmonica play. Also, to get started with percussions I got 2 egg shakers(super cheap), to train my hands a bit. Next month I will get a chance to test all the cajones mentioned above and make my choice. The most perfect solution would be the Schlagwerk Move Box, but the price is not reasonable in my opininion.
