Fatso 0248 I’m going to school for clinical psychology and tbh, having a really good friend who is willing to listen to you but not enable your bad behavior is going to be way better than a therapist. An hour is not enough time for meaningful conversation and by the time it’s up you might just be getting started.

@@Raganlueck not always true. therapists can give you resources and talk to your psychiatrist. however with some people it is better to have a friend to talk to. but there is such thing as over talking about it and with a therapist u can talk about it as much as u need to until you feel it is out of your system (while they give u resources or coping skills that have been studied). and a friend cannot give u advice about a mental illness and it be fully effective

My girlfriend at the time told me that she will never ask me to go to her psychiatrist with her ever again.
