Since the setup was in a shared office space, I feel like it might have made more sense to have the desk facing the door in the middle of the room (basically the same position his old desk was in). That way, if he has guests or someone he needs to meet with, he can move his monitor and speak face-to-face with them rather than having to turn around. He could also show them any relevant information on the monitor that way without having them look over his back. It would also allow him to have a nicer backdrop for online meetings, with people seeing the posters and shelves on his wall rather than the door/hallway. Lastly, it would give him more privacy, as people walking through the halls wouldn't have a clear view of whatever he was working on on the monitor, and he would feel more secure without his back to the windows.

Hey Caimar! I've been following you for awhile and have taken a lot of inspiration from your videos and setup. Thank you for the amazing content and attention to detail! I have a few questions about this setup... I want to get to Karlby desk top and topsky legs. What size top is in the video? Ideally, I'm able to get the 70" karlby top and have the topsky standing legs close enough together so that the desk top will sit down right on top of the Alex drawers on the sides. When the desk is at the bottom, I'd like it to look like it's not a standing desk, so the end of the karlby desk top would be aligned with outside side of the alex drawers, and then there's no gap between the top of the alex drawers and bottom of the desktop. Do you know if this is possible? Have you tried this? Any advice or direction is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Hey brother, appreciate you following and thanks for being with the community so this is a great question. Yes, the desk in the video is the 74 inch version and yes, you can put them on top of the top sky legs with the Alex drawers on the sides. What you gonna do is at the moment that you are installing the legs to the top measure the distance between the edge of the top to wear the desk leg frame starts, and make sure that the Alex drawers can fit on that space most likely you are going to have to push the legs closer to each other so that the gap in the middle is not as wide. Once you do that, you should be able to adjust the height of the desk so that you don’t see a gap between the top and the drawers. I hope this helps fam🙌🔥

You’re the man! I appreciate the crazy fast response. That’s hard to find these days. That makes sense! From your experience, do you think pushing the legs closer together to be able to make the Alex drawers fit seamlessly on the ends would work? Would that decrease any functionality of the desk? I guess I need to research the minimum horizontal distance that the desk can be, to determine if they will fit.

Thanks for subbing fam! This is a combination of brand partnerships, and the person paying for the rest. My wishes, of course one way be able to gift complete set ups with zero $$ out-of-pocket for people.

@6:34 I have never understood how this could help with eye strain. If anything this just adds glare to the monitor and is just a gimmick that hipsters and influencers have been pushing.
