Hi！I have a question that which card is more suitable for a death shadow deck，Murktide Regent or Nethergoyf？my friend belives Murktide Regent is better but I think Murktide Regent makes the deck too slow😂

Good questions. I'm a big fan of nethergoyf because it keeps a lot of the deck low cost and efficient. But others prefer murktide because of the big evasive body and the ability to dodge a lot of popular removal. I think overall, nethergoyf is better for being proactive, murktide is better for being reactive and then turning the corner.

I agree. They're both quite a bit different. The CMC of 7 really makes it awesome at staying alive and to add to that, a Nethergoyf gets countered with Chalice-on-one, where a Murktide can at least try to still obtain a win. Two very different threats. 👍

Hi, as a 2 mana removal why not bitter triumph instead? It has sinergy both with ds and goyf on top of killing planeswalkers.

as tempting as it is, the "sinergistic" drawback is going to backfire often. Specially vs RWx Energy piles. The sole presence of phlage after an early pressure does add up super quick would be prob fine if phlage wasnt the threat it is imo

I don't know when this league was played but regardless of that, now that Bloomburrow is out, would you swap the Go for the throats for "feed the cycle" ?

Not worth playing. Best case scenario for this card is it's a narrow murderous cut.

We don't usually want to sacrifice nethergoyf stats to cast our kill spells, and I personally don't want to make myself even weaker to graveyard hate. Bitter Triumph is still probably a better include in this specific list if you want a two mana instant that can also snipe walkers
