What a gorgeous little fella! I particularly love your scroll design. I agree wholeheartedly with your use of CNC. Its a perfect tool for consistency and knocking out tedious work, lets the humans focus on the artful tasks. There's a mythology that all old things were made 100% with hand guided tools, Gibson were using carving machines and pin routers for the same kind of tasks, CNC is a lot safer!

I’m the customer who commissioned this. Quinton didn’t cover all the other features of this beauty, and there are many, right down to the gold colored side fret board dots that each shine as they catch the light. The sound contains some complex overtones, with a bit of sharp brightness in the G and D stings that really does it for me. The piece seems to like thinner picks, and I’m currently playing with 0.75’s and 1mm’s, but I prefer a bright tone so the complex overtones really stand out. If you want a great mandolin, consider going artisan, rather than off the shelf. For me, it’s the best value.
