Great ideas i was out yesterday spiltting,stacking getting oak and such ready for next winter, A well stack pile of firewood is always so beautiful. Peace!

Nice but some of these options look like "just for show" rather than actual functioning wood stores, unless you have OCD. having wood so close to an outside wall can cause huge problems with damp, especially here in Scotland, as well as having insects and mice in them.

In my State, firewood is usually sold in Ricks. Three Ricks are considered a cord.

1. cut tree down 2. buck and split wood 3. load split wood into truck 4. unload wood from truck to main storage wood pile 5. take wood from main storage wood pile to inside day storage wood pile 6. take wood from inside day storage wood pile and load into fireplace....Whew...!
