Shifting Woodland point blank might be my favorite land of all time now. It's an all-star in any graveyard strategy with green, and even good with others not focused on the yard. Day 1 include in my Mycotyrant and Muldrotha decks. Also, it doesn't tap, so it can even help pay for itself!

I think Toxic Deluge has really good synergy with Death’s Shadow. If it’s on the battlefield as a 1/1 and you deluge 11 life, the shadow will survive because it becomes a 12/12

I feel like Seth kinda slept on Gleaming Fleshwarper in the Uncommons. Whenever you cast a colorless spell make a Scion and whenever another colorless creature ETBs, it deals 1 damage each opponent. Mishra's Bauble is now make 1 mana and ping 1. One Ring is effectively 3 mana and ping 1. If affinity played more colorless creatues I think they might want it because each karn-struct you make also comes with a mana and a ping. Matter Reshaper can also put it into play from the death trigger. I think it at least deserves a bit of discussion even if it doesn't 100% fit in current Eldrazi decks.

You know, when your confirmation bias says that any 2-toughness creature must have been made to specifically avoid dying to Bowmasters, it's pretty easy to assume that the set was designed around the card, even though 2-toughness was a very common amount of toughness even before Bowmasters existed.

Already brewing with primal prayers: 4x Outcaster Trailblazer 4x Primal Prayers 4x Lathnu Hellion 4x Shatterskull Charger 4x Skelemental 4x decoction module 4x breakout 4x Acererak 4x ignoble hierarch 4x Sylvan Safekeeper 3x Wooded Foothills 3x Verdant Catacombs 2x Bloodstained mire 2x Boseiju 1x Blood crypt 2x overgrown tomb 2x stomping ground 2x forest 2x Swamp 1x mountain The idea is you can play module, plot trailblazer and then cast it and go off turn four with prayers. Every creature except hierarch and safekeeper draw you a card. You have 12 haste creatures with four or more power (hellion also gives you two energy to cast more if you dont have module out). Backup kill is acererak+module+prayers for the dungeon combo kill.

While it definitely doesn't seem like it'd be strong enough for straight modern play, I could see some Against The Odds applications for Kozilek's Command. * It's a card that can generate future mana, with a net cost of 2. Even ignoring potential infinite applications, the fact it's an instant means you could, say, pay 6 for this at end of turn, drop a land then Dopplegang for x=3. * It's an instant, so can have its cost reduced by many cards. Also an eldrazi card, so Eye of Ugin can come into play (though not sure how many formats that's legal in these days). * Alternately basically becomes a ritual with Ashnod's Altar. There might be something janky, Against The Oddsish there. Thaaat said, now that I've typed this out, seems like most of the straightforward stuff you'd pull off with this are just straight up easier with Awaken The Woods, if for nothing else than being able to produce green without needing additional support (as well as them being land creatures allowing stuff like Lotus Cobra to help combo off).

If you cast it in the middle of storming off, it makes 4 mana just a few casts later, for an effective cost of 0. Then, every time you cast a spell, you discard and draw, and it's not an "if you discard, then draw" so with an empty hand you just draw. You're right, that card is made for storm.

I wonder about arch of innovation with tivit in commander. Im not a big fan of how pushed a lot of these cards are, do not get me wrong was I complaining about Commander Masters not having enough hits of course I was, it was very expensive and it didn't come with the the good good. @@winssports4830 thanks for the suggestion. The only thing I don't like about Leyline is it means you have to mulligan until it is in your opening hand. I'm not crazy about this playstyle. Auriok is alright, would slot well probably in my Boros Legends deck, so I will try it out. I just would like for Soul Sisters to be a thing. I think it would be cool.

Shifting Woodland is a ploblematic land that I wouldn't be surprised to see banned in multiple formats. I LOVE the design, but it simply does too many things. Example: turn 1 Kami of Bamboo grooves, put Sunken Citadel on battlefield, cast Flare of Cultivation: creature, enchantment, sorcery in graveyard, 3 lands on battlefield 1 in hand. Turn 2 Faithless Looting, discard Omniscience and the other land, play Woodland: you activate delirium, and with 1 mana FROM WOODLAND ITSELF and 2 from citadel you copy Omniscience, since remember, you have now 4 lands on the battlefield and 3 are still untapped even after casting Faithless Looting. It does too much for a land imo.

​@@zackestin1368 You completely misunderstood the point of my comment. What I described is the ceiling on power of a potential combo among many where the card is involved. Remember, this is a land that enters untapped under the same conditions of Castle Garenbrig, for reference. In timeless, you could open with Dark Ritual into Dark Ritual, into Energy Refractor into Show & Tell and win on turn 1, but nobody does it because even if you combo on turn 4, 5 or later it doesn't really matter. In addition to that, all the cards I've used in the example are perfectly playable on their own, it's not like a combo requiring a leyline which would become otherwise a dead draw later. That said, I really hope to be wrong, because if Woodlands becomes a staple in Timeless/Historic meta playing those formats could easily turn into a very frustrating experience.

Btw, the reason I care so much about this card and I hope it won't be banned/restricted is because I'm attracted by its enormus jank potential. I used Omniscience in the example because I assume that's what the majority of people will try to cheat in play, but personally I can't wait to see if Jadzi will finally become an actual playable card. Especially now that Tamiyo provides the perfect non-aggro 1 drop wizard. Fingers crossed!
