IDK if anyone mentioned already, but I think vs goblins you do want to bring in the HCA and Crime/Punish. They are close to board wipes often.

@jakecollin54992 жыл бұрын
@@IntegralKing no joke. Mana screw leads to some pretty interesting situations if your opponent is on a control/reactive hand. When your second land hits the battlefield you have 7 spells in hand and your opp has 2-3.

DRC felt weak whenever Reid drew them. There’s not enough spells to trigger her and control the draw. I think removing Urza’s Saga makes cutting DRC a consideration.

8:08 Would a single copy of New Capenna's Ziatora's Proving Ground (Jund triome) make the manabase more reasonable?
@rekenner2 жыл бұрын
Probably not? The DRC/Ragavan version has so many one mana plays, it seems hard to work in a land that always enters tapped. But maybe you do play one, yeah, the cycling interaction with W6 isn't nothing, tho 3 cost cycling compared to 1 cost is tough
@newscoulomb37052 жыл бұрын
@@rekenner Generally, the CiP tapped lands can be considered an additional (competing) one drop, but if the purpose is to offset doubled colored cards, that doesn't seem like a big issue. With only one in the deck, it would likely be fetched most of the time anyway. The Wrenn/3cc cycle is a nice late game draw engine option (one that doesn't require a land drop), but I wouldn't consider that as anything more than a side benefit.

Does anybody else think that having a basic mountain is kind of a waste. I know that sometimes you don't want to take the 2 but I think the main reason to run basics is to get around blood moon. What do you guys think

@BillabongWannabe2 жыл бұрын
Having played a fair bit of JUND there are some instances of wanting to fetch a red source without shocking yourself, although its not a super common occurrence it happens enough to really want to have the option; especially considering all the damage JUND does to your own life total

Reid, may I recommend NVIDIA Broadcast. Its free software you can run that will automatically cut out all of your background noise. You won't need to worry about messing with the mic and we won't need to hear kitty litter scraping. It might even make that sexy voice sound sexier.

The thing I hate the most about MTG: getting regularly mana screwed even though your deck is over 1/3 lands...
@valentinegodek46812 жыл бұрын
😂 if 20 lands is your baseline, you’re just asking to get mana screwed (unless you’re playing a SUPER low curve deck). Modern magic has so many ways to get value from your lands, which mitigates the downside of getting flooded, so you’re incentivized to run more lands rather than fewer. Reid even acknowledges this in Match 1 Game 1 when he describes his list as having a low number of lands.

Unholy heat is too powerfull. The one-manna answer to kill the 5-mana walker while stuck on one land just shoultn't be a thing.
