Ive been playing with this for a few hours and I'm actually shocked on how good your kits sound. The clarity is amazing. The kits are definitely yours because they sound like nothing else i have from toontracks. The kits sound natural and unprocessed . Congrats Will , im super grateful you shared this . FYI this guy is banging out mega records by the dozens Erin

What up you Manic BC Will has been at it for awhile , just cranking out the records. Imagine how busy he is and then knocking out a project like this. Just the drum mics alone $$$ but this guy has a ton of experience for how young he is. I was reading some of the crap comments below, that happens when your doing something right and successful. Successful people are to focused to bag on other people . Cheers 😎

Can I use this in SD3? Or is there gonna be a SDX version of this, a la Death and Darkness SDX to Death Metal EZX and Dark Matter EZX?
@johnnyroberts86413 жыл бұрын
You can definitely use this in SD3...all the samples and everything. EZX expansions sorta keep the FX away from you though in SD3, so you can't analyze what he did to process the different presets, it just has a single plugin on the channel in the console that says "black box"
@johnnyroberts86413 жыл бұрын
already played around with this a little...if you are a fan of multi output, you can definitely make full use of all the main out's all the way up to 19/20. Exclusive parallel processing channels I've seen are Drive, Punch, etc...Punch I remember was a kick/snare only channel...but added some beef to an already badass preset that had parallel compression routed in it. There are OH channels, Room and Plate Verb channels, even a channel labelled "Dist" that is a really subtle fader that brings up the far ambience...and I'm talking, 2 blocks over far :) :)

The raw samples alone, along with the Billy Rymer MIDI pack included, are worth the purchase. Take these raw samples and incorporate them in some presets you might already favor? I gaurantee you'll be stoked

Interesting in a way, but my gosh, the kick and snare alone have 7 mics between them. A little overkill don't ya think??
@luisrocha262 жыл бұрын
This guy's knows what he's doing, Kevin. Putney's mixes are reference for lots of bands. You may check Northlane's Node tô get a picture of it.
@ThePilate302 жыл бұрын
@@luisrocha26 I don't question his knowledge at all, I'm just wondering with a full band mix, how much of that gets lost so that may render it unnecessary
@luisrocha262 жыл бұрын
@@ThePilate30 oh, I get you now. Indeed when mixing for a band I think he would probably get rid of some of these mics given that he already knows exactly what sound he's looking for. This setup is meant for building a sample library, so I guess he needs this equipment to get a sound as versatile as possible.

Are you kidding me? An old school sound is what we need, not that plastic crap
@jimbo1213 жыл бұрын
This is a modern drums ezx so if that's not what you're after there's plenty of others for you.
@Crowbar111153 жыл бұрын
This sounds so thin and weak...I honestly can't believe people want drums like this.
@therham3 жыл бұрын
@@jimbo121 That's exactly my point. There's not plenty of old school drums plugins out there. In my opinion we already have enough djent, metalcore, "modern" stuff as it is. Let's just hope they start focusing on the sound that started it all instead of pleasing the younger generation with each release
@therham3 жыл бұрын
@@Crowbar11115 Exactly. In my opinion this is the perfect example of what's making all bands sound alike. It sucks ass!

I am just here to complain, like why would anyone want an EZX from one of the most popular modern metal producers. At the studio that has made some of the most impressive sounding records of late. Like get real guys. Like next your gonna tell me you are working with Acle Kahney... LAMMMMMMMMMMMME
