This seminar will explore how financial sector innovation and regulatory structures affect inequality, macroeconomic fragility and white collar crime. Questions to be addressed include:
What role does the financial sector play in a modern day economy?
How does financial innovation fit into traditional boom-and-bust accounts of the business cycle?
What role did fraud play in the global financial crisis?
How can financial reform effectively reduce the prevalence of rent-seeking, instability and fraud?

Interesting approach, sorta familiar thinking..., we need more of this..., spreading on campuses everywhere.. It is almost so simply explained that even ppl on campuses might have a chance to somehow start understanding some actual problems of today, for a change... :-D

it went down and nobody got jailed. We need to get rid of the statute of limitations, extend it to like 20 years. I don't care if they do it the way they do with drug cases and throw some of these pricks out the 50th floor window.

U got a point there ,sure..., and some clear distinction should be present at all times..., but Austrian school's only the tip of the iceberg, among other flavors, all of which pertain to the Oligarchic Monetarist System. But, as we can clearly see now, The System Of Credit is a complete opposite to all that. However , the biggest emphasis today has to be on the solutions (G.S/Credit S./ NAWAPA). Cultural-pessimism is really our biggest obstacle in fact, and Having a Future's a cure to that..

It would have been nice to have Dylan Ratigan in the audience to back up Mike Norman as their experiences with Wall Street are similar. Watch 'Dylan Ratigan (rightfully) loses it on air' here on KZbin. As long a we have a bought congress, political decisions will be a function of what's best for a politician's career and those who fund it. Also, let's close those revolving doors! Voters are easily deceived by today's campaign machinery and ultimately money determines who wins.
