Hi Josh, Things model railroading are ticking right along but mostly helping others. My own layout remains on the back burner as my time seems to be taken up with "projects" - sometimes feel like the mechanic who works on everyone else's vehicles but his own... :-) However, that's the beauty of the hobby and just love it. Keep up the super work and keep posting those great videos of yours - we all learn from you expertise.

That's an exciting track plan. The possibilities are endless. Makes me miss my old 80's free-lanced Texas Central layout (N-scale). It was modern era, non-Amtrak, freight-only. I ran Officers' Specials. That was my excuse for F9's in the modern era, lol.

That is a totally awesome layout. I spent a good bit if time in Asheville,. I was expecting that train to run through Black Mountain and then to Swannanoa . Delivered a lot of pizzas to those towns. I remember Ridgecrest having a retreat back in the 80's. I hope you video an operating session soon. I remember the NS running down Saluda Mountain, what an awesome operation that was. Keep us informed,

Can’t wait to have a 1998-2007 era of Cajon Pass Mojave Desert & Los Angeles HO scale layout in the future, Because when I was little in preschool, I remember that leased & foreign diesel locomotives helped and borrowed by BNSF & UP. That’s my memory.

What a great layout! I am very curious to hear more about how the gate right at the door to the layout room works. I assume there is a small gap between the track on the layout and the track on top of the gate? Does that not affect the operation? Do you have derailing issues? Where did you get the switch that is triggered by the gate?

Hello! Your layout is stunning. Great Work. I have a few questions. what's the track speed limit(s) on it and though your layout is primarily freight, would you consider running a commuter train(s) between your towns and metropolitan areas?
@nsmodeler24
@nsmodeler24 10 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Though we don't have specific speed limits, we try to run all of our train at realistic speeds. This would be approx. 35 scale mph on the lower level main lines. For the climb, we run from 10-15 scale mph. I have a few commuter consists and occasional run them between towns. Thanks for watching!

Very impressive layout Josh... On a side note, please excuse my ignorance, I just subscribed to your channel, I'd love to see more detail about your swing bridge, have you done a video? Also, I'm relatively new to building layouts, how are your switches controlled, do you have a control panel with lights indicating the direction of the switches? Sure would love to see your layout, I'm in NC north of Charlotte... Thanks again... Bill
