I had that conversation yesterday. In-lore it uses 5.56, the model says 7.62x39mm. Conclusion: I went with what it says on the gun.

MW2/3 use a M16a4 not a CM901, thats entirely different gun.

I used IMFDB as reference here btw. It was basically that the model matches the Colt 901, but the burst fire and fire mode markings are from the A4.

Also the factor that Sledgehammer was wishing to make Advanced Warfare 2 but receive tasks to make MWIII. You can see why when there's references to Atlas corporation and the Aftermarket Parts turning into weapons from that game or the classic MW2.

FYI: Jak Heretic is in 7.62 "Soviet" which is cod's equivalent to 7.62x39mm. HBRa3 has 7.62x39mm markings on the gun model.

@@GForceGordon according to Advanced Soldier Manual the gun is stated to chambered in 5.56 ATL, but CoD known by its inconsistency so i'm just gonna go by 5.56 because the shape of the mag is somewhat a 5.56 sized(i know it looked like a 20rdr AR 7.62 mag but it ain't curved enough). Bet's drawn, model wise it's 7.62 but lore wise it's 5.56.
