Instead, they camp in corners that are, quite frankly, even campier than MW19 ever was. All the base maps and remasters are also targeted towards campers because, and I know nostalgic people won't believe this, the older COD games, from MW2 to Black Ops 2, were FULL of campers, even more than now. Also, a shift from jetpacks and advanced movement to boots on the ground is what kickstarts this shit, because newcomers get scared to go out there and fight without jumping around like Fortnite kids.

Yes all of that is true.. but there is one small issue. MW2019 had almost 5 years to be worked on. Cold war was more of a reasurance that took only about a year, maybe 2 years. its because CW is re-using the first person animation for its 3rd person one, where as MW has a 3rd Person and First Person Reload. I would just call laziness but I'm sure we all know how rocky the development was for CW its not the animators fault just not enough time to polish it unlike MW which is pretty damn polished.

But "lack of polish" absolutely doesn't excuse so many of the utterly awful intentional decisions in the details department. Shotguns being pumped after every reload, a 20-round M16 holding 30 rounds, "extended mag" revolver cylinders, revolvers with suppressors, not to mention all of the bizarre extended mag options, where slapping some tape on your mag makes it hold twice as much ammo, just as a few. There's also the hilariously sad attachment descriptions, that read like the put vaguely firearm-related terms in a blender ("smoothbore rifled" barrels, "anti-infantry" barrels that do more damage to vehicles, so many more). It upsets and depressed me so much because MW was literally the first time in awhile I was REALLY back into a cod game. The operators were neat and had good voice lines and the animations and small details were just so crisp and revolutionary. Like you can TELL they put alot of time and effort into the game and realism. Some of my favorite modes were the night maps and the hardcore modes because I feel like they went back to their military sim roots. Then literally a year later they jump back on the shit train. I refused to buy cold war because when I played the beta it felt and looked like an absolute downgrade. The saddest part about the whole thing is coldwar watered down warzon in my opinion. I wish they had literally just taken their time and made cold war just as good and found a way to properly implement it into the warzone rather than hur de hurrrr dump all gunz in game dat make sense. Like they could have coasted on the success of MW and Warzone for YEARS before needing a new game.

Modern Warfare 2019’s weapon design, animation, gunsmithing, and just general attention to detail both historically and artistically is just absolutely phenomenal. Even the descriptive text for each gun is fantastically written. I’m still blown away by the quality and imo Cold War and especially Vanguard will never hold a candle to that. While I still continually appreciate MW2019’s weapon selection in my personal load outs in Warzone, I am also excited for how Modern Warfare 2 will take the same beautiful concepts, animations, and designs and take them to the next level with even newer guns. At least that’s how I hope it will go.

Rumor mill these days says Vanguard is still going to be delayed. So it's not hard to imagine how broken their game was last year, especially if rushing Treyarch was somehow the more feasible option. I'm sure Treyarch wanted the full 3 year cycle to fine tune Cold War, but Sledgehammer fucked their game up real bad and Activision forced Treyarch to cover last year's CoD release.

Cold War zombies was my everything during the pandemic, so many good times, the Ee, the Haunted Hollos in Verdanks '80 even was ❤️‍🔥, in zombies so fun because the zombies dropped wonder weapons, perks, upgrades, etc, the mastery camo was worth it all the time it took worth it but the time i passed with my friends on pandemic was Beautiful and seeing that it received this treatment breaks my heart, of course it wasn't perfect (literally a game made during pandemia and on a rush) but it was PERFECT to me

I completely agree with you Modern Warfare has some of the best gun gameplay I've ever seen. I sometimes will sit there and take a pistol and just reloade it over and over again just to see how accurate and detailed it is. Also when you play as Farrah, the detail and animations in the reloads of the pistol are phenomenal, they're different from all the other operators. It looks exactly like it would if a girl with smaller hands who didn't have enough training would reload a pistol.

Imo the best comparison to this is Fallout 4 and Fallout New Vegas, 4 looks prettier, does a have a better story that New Vegas? Oh wow!!!! Those details really make me wanna play a game catered to 40 year fathers shaking while mounting in a building with double claymore and a 0,0001 ttk so he only has to hit 1 bullet on me as soon as he hears me running from another map away. But at least the mag is actually empty in this game bcs the only thing you can do is watch how cool the weapons look bcs no one dares to move in this game. Nice attention to detail tho!

That is why before season 6 the guns inspections in MW is just simple because they had only a little bit time to do it, putting a styles inspection of a gun can cost time and sometimes details. I'm pretty sure that IW are well aware of it unlike 3arch who had only a year despite the tight schedule. Season 6 and after are the proof that if they only had enough time before, they could have put a styles inspections of the guns in MW.

Watching this and the next 2 parts of this series after Vanguard and realization that this game was built by developers that were working from home in the middle of pandemic makes me feel like, "Perhaps I treated you too harshly" to Cold War

I also think some of the stuff can be excused because they were supposed to have sledge hammer working on the game together, but they were pulled out to work on vanguard. And while vanguard was being developed, they had to take the 2020 launch which was earlier than expected. I believe if they did have the extra time it probably could've turned out better.

COLD War does not have bad graphics, this guy has them disabled in the middle and shadows, apart from that he only has non-detailed animations (roboticized)
