There shouldn't be caped levels. I think that at the end of every season, every level you earn past 155 should be changed into currency, (plunder or whatever) so you have an incentive to continue leveling up throughout the season

1. Every 10 ribbons completed should give you a 30 minute xp token and 30 minute weapon xp token 2.when you are 155, and complete officer challenges , you should be able to convert the xp into weapon xp tokens Basically less xp only , and give the option for tokens.

The 'Doing Work' Officer Rank challenge is rediculous, bugged and completely based on luck. (Getting kills with enemy weapons and killing enemies with their own weapons are bugged as well). A challenge should NEVER be based on luck. So are the challenges for Riot Shield double kills, Kar double kills and some Rocket Launcher challenges. Again, I don't mind a challenge, but they should NEVER be based on luck...... PS: Special Ops still needs a lot of difficulty tuning!

This is the one time I could say I really liked a specific aspect of BO4. I liked how they had a groups of challenges that you can complete with the reward being an animated Call Sign. Also another this I don't like about MW is that while you're in the lobby you don't get to see everyone's call sign and vice versa you can't show off yours unless someone hoovers over your name.

The level could be capped at 1000 per season and at rank 100, 200, 300, etc, there could be an emblem you unlock and would be able choose what emblem you want to have next to your level each season. Kind of like how in black ops 3 you could choose your emblem after you unlocked them. They would carry through each season so you could be rewarded for your play but also nit have any in-game advantage for reaching higher levels.

I like that you are a guy who specifies in progression. Because for those of us that level up fast, removing prestige system/ adding level cap, and removing rewards for the sake of a battle pass makes it feel meaningless and wasted!

You pretty much hit my every opinion right on the head, i couldnt agree more. Doing the challenges for camos and other stuff when i'm 155 feels like such a waste, i am just throwing that exp away. This system leaves me with the following question: Should i go for damascus right now, or wait for the new season? Should i wait to do that looong grind until i actually NEED the exp? This system just makes it feel like i am wasting my time. I loved to have the prestige master as the end-all-be-all goal to complete, i never got there before but i love this game so much that i feel this time i would do it. Closest ive been is prestige 6 or 7, but i am having waaay more fun in this game, i just wish they fixed my few gripes with it.

I got prestige master in BO2 and youre right, really satisfying when its finally done. In the new cod im already level 120 or something and i bet ive got like maybe 10 hours played, and i havent unlocked anything for like the last 60 levels? I think the whole reason they took away prestige in the first place is because of the way the designed gunsmith. I think that if when you prestiged if you kept your gun level the same or gave your guns the option to prestige that would give the game the feeling of longevity that we need. I also suggest we rethink the "they aren't bringing back prestige" mentality. I havent played a cod like this in close to a decade and they are really paying attention on this for what we the players want. Im impressed, great video.

SOUR, you made an outstanding review and critique! I had been complaining about some of the same problems for a while, but I hadn't thought of the solutions that you came up with. I think a good reward for hitting level 155 is that you should be able to unlock a feature that lets you work on all multiplayer missions at the same time. They are probably going to to fix some of these things a couple of months after the new COD get released. Also, please make more videos about the Spec Ops and Survival. I enjoy playing those too, but they definitely need some fixes and updates!

Definitely agree with you on all your points, I was excited to see a new progression system when it was announced, but being able to hit the max level in about 2 days of playtime then having any XP afterwards just go to waste is a bit of a turn-off. Though I know there is still camo and officer challenges to do, like you said about 70-80 of them can be finished without even actively going for them, and the ones that you need to try for are able to be finished in a matter of games besides a few of them. I'm going for Damascus right now, but having a higher level to work towards and for that to be displayed somewhere on the profile sort of like how mw3 had previous prestige icons next to your name would have been a neat feature to show off previous levels of progression in seasons before. I think the game is fun, but I do miss having a rank to work towards instead of just "challenges"

I miss good calling cards and emblems. MW2 had the best ones by far. When the game came out I got as many gunships as i could because in mw2 the ac-130 moving emblem was my favorite thing in the world, only to realize when i hit so many gunships that they don’t have anything like that. Really bummed me out😂

My ideal Missions system would be something like: - Keep them as steps, make them all at least 10 steps - Add a lot lot more of them - Let us work on them all simultaneously, the steps should mean the overlap is reduced and it isn't super quick - At least let us do 3, one is too cruel with situations like you said.

My biggest problem with the prestige system was that not everybody was participating. There would be people with a month of playtime still at the first level 55, and it didn’t feel like it mattered. It felt like all the prestige rank meant was that you’re fine with using bad classes for a while after every 55th level.

The thing about MW2 and MW3 is that you would complete challenges that werent even listed. Like killing two people by sticking one of them with a Semtex. The badass challenge complete little guitar riff was awesome as well.

This game feels like it was created as a side project, the main project would be the battle royal. The multiplayer maps seem like they were mostly pulled from the campaign. Aside from the lack of maps, there are only 2-3 maps that I would consider fun to play on, but they feel very unbalanced since most of them were not designed strictly for their respective game modes. The spec ops feels tacked on by using the BR map as a location for misc missions. Most of the effort was put into the campaign just to justify the price of $60. The main focus will be the BR, which will be released as a standalone, free to play title. It will using the same exact engine and assets as MW. With the lack of dedicated servers, I wouldn't be surprised if they're spending the money on the BR since it will be the most profitable of the two.

For the shield turret, I literally just grinded it out in 6v6 Dom. Put it in any spot with common traffic and you'll get at least 2. Shoot house may be better since that's out now

That season highest level thing you were talking about is similar to what apex legends do, they give you banners saying how many season 1 kills you got etc. Seems like a really good idea, going into a game and seeing a banner that someone got to level 800 on season 2, I'd be gunning for him the whole game as he would most likely be the best 😂

What I hate most about challenges - 1 at a time activation and in the mission set only one track at a time so if you need 30 kills and 30 caps - you would have to get 30 kills before caps would even count - They should just all track in real-time like in the older games Was nice to have a new weapon or calling card pop up here and there randomly.

Yeah this is the fastest I've leveled up in cod. I got modern warfare on October 28th and by today I'm already 57, I've only played 1-3 times a week. There is tons of XP options, but without prestige and with the whole ticket system in the late game it feels really weird.

Your idea on the “grind for content” is similar to NBA Live 18 and 19. You could get tattoos or other gear for your Park player, and after certain games you could unlock something, and you had a 1/4, 1/6 chance of unlocking items, play maybe 4-12 games and you could unlock everything for that event or only play til you got the gear you wanted.

My theory is that supply drops were removed very late on, and the game feels built around them, when they made the desicoin to remove them. (because of mounting pressure) they didnt have anything to replace it with, so this is what we get till the battle pass.

Thats a big issue I noticed pretty early on: There isnt a whole lot to grind for long term yet. In say, WW2 I would try for certain guns or gun skins. Or in bo4 I would try and get dark matter in zombies. For MW there really isnt anything I wanna do besides making some secret guns and getting blueprints

Fortnite had a similar issue with reaching max level on the battle pass. The challenges would award battle pass levels/stars even if you reached max level. They then changed it to xp after you reached max level in the battle pass. So hopefully they do something similar here

Hmm... here’s a idea, no cap, no prestige’s. Get to 1000 and unlock some really rare expert challenges that are really hard for the players who beat the game every year. You should be able to level up infinitely because why tf not. Doesn’t hurt to be level 3000.

I really do feel like I’m wasting my time now that I’m at the cap. The fact that I’m getting all this xp that doesn’t get me anything is just annoying. Like you said if there was a currency I was gaining after I hit the cap I would have an incentive to play. Just playing and not earning anything takes away from the game tremendously. I need to be earning SOMETHING after i hit the cap or I just have the feeling of not even wanting to play.

By objective it means search and destroy, that's the only way to complete it

If you read the description for the game modes search and destroy is the only one that has “objective” in it. So it’s not a bug. Very frustrating but it’s true

To add to your point of being able to show how much time you’ve put in, I’d like to see no level reset after each season and being able to further add to the 155. If they incrementally added more levels each season, for example season two having 115 levels instead of 100 I’d enjoy that as well. That way you could see the level 400 or 500 in the lobby and know they’re the ones who have put in the extra time.

I would enjoy the challenges having 90/100 unlocked right away and 10 seasonal challenges that unlock every 9 completed ribbon challenges, not including the mini boss ribbon(the unlocked 10th ribbons). Followed by a special ribbon, boss ribbon or completionist ribbon(whatever you want to call it) the 101th ribbon that is season based and difficult. Completing it would grant you a calling card, emblem, and some sort of design of ribbon like soldiers receive as award recognition that can be equipped onto your character to see in game and in lobbies. (lobbies not loading quick enough to view other players characters makes this option less worthwhile but if they fix it would be nice.) Having the last ribbon give a calling card which is seasonal based would incentivize the prestige players to get something similar, calling card and emblem. Instead of the prestige emblem you get an equippable ribbon for the season on your character and can keep adding additional ribbons from the next seasons onwards. (or make the ribbon transform/progress each season. Add more flare, more decorations, or just us give more ribbons)

I do feel like we’ve been a bit spoiled by COD (the grind and challenges that is). Whilst I agree that the level should be uncapped and that it should take longer, I do get the feeling that there’s more in the works. This is the only COD game I’ve played in 5 years that I’ve genuinely enjoyed just playing regardless of progression or ranking up, even on my own. I’m very excited for what is to come in the seasons upcoming though!

I love the Trials! Especially the one you were playing here... Used to do this in cod4 and mw2 for hours just to get the best time possible in the pits... But... only 3 tries? Using a Ticket? I am 155 for almost a week now and... yeah. No tickets left... and no tickets means no trials. That's what makes me kinda mad. I just want to fkn do what I used to do... Why is that a thing now? At least make it playable - I don't give a shit about the exp. Make a free Version without exp pls.... IW... Please!!! Its kinda worrying that gunfight, shoot house 24/7 and the trials are the most fun stuff atm. Tdm? Hell naw. HQ? Nonononono.

Even the rare weapon blueprint is bs when you think about it. All the rewards you get from doing all of these missions are fun variants that you will eventually unlock with the gun anyway. They really didn’t think out the whole grinding thing in this game.

The only ribbons that concern me are doing work and resistance. Everything else is just put in the time and you will get it eventually if you are trying.

The Best of the Best is one of the more difficult missions I think. Getting those killstreaks isn't common in hardcore so it is a lot slower at times.

Completely agree! Made 155 in like 2 weeks, now I have all these trials and dbl xp tokens I never used just going to waste. Hell, I'm almost done with my officer badges, only a few more, then what? Let some little shit catch up to me at 155 in 3 weeks?

Honestly wish the trials missions were just the Spec Ops mode. They are way more fun to play and are actual missions with replayability etc.

Okay, this is the problem I have with mission challenges. All the weapon blueprint does is give you some attachments before you've unlocked it naturally. Some of the steps within these challenges are either too difficult for me to complete as an individual or I dislike having to do what they're asking so much, I'd rather just skip the challenge altogether. And if I skip the challenge, what's the big deal? All I need to do is completely unlock the weapon at the end of the mission challenge and I will be able to recreate it by selecting it's individual attachment components. I can literally not do any of the mission challenges and still be able to have the same weapon as the end blueprint by simply completely leveling up the weapon the blueprint is for. Furthermore, creating the same weapon at the end of the blueprint by leveling up the gun allows me to play the game the way I want and not be forced to do some of the steps within the mission challenge that is annoying AF to me.

I miss the challenges from BO3. I think their 100% system was better plus it was a lot of fun grinding for the cool mastery calling cards; you instantly recognized a badass in the lobby.

There has to be a compromise, cuz I do NOT wanna have to reset all my weapons after Grinding for 71 levels JUST for the M4 and 68 Levels for the AK, I agree there needs to be something more rewarding at the end of the Leveling process, something more to grind for aside from Gold/Damascus Camo or Maxing out the weapons. Plus the Officer challenges are such a let down with no emblems, calling cards, blue prints or Operator skins associated with them.
